Basic Travel Charger, Great for Digital Cameras
Strengths: Compact, low price. High Capacity 2500mAH batteries included. Energizer brand. Charges AA or AAA. Surge protection, built-in plug.
Weaknesses: Slow - 8 hours to charge included batteries. Batteries must be charged in pairs. Not 220v compatible. Flimsy. Can only charge NiMH.
Summary: 2005-07-24 22:03:11 This battery charger is very compact, and comes with 4 of Energizer's highest capacity NiMH batteries, rated at 2500mAH. It is ideal for use with digital cameras, mp3 players, CD players, and other high drain devices that take AA's. I can power my mp3 player for about a week with just one battery, even with extensive use. Regular batteries only last 3 days. I can use my digital camera all day long with just one set of batteries, while I might need 3 sets of normal AA's.
The charger is tiny! If you get 5 AA batteries and stand them up side by side, that's how wide it is. It is as tall as one and a half AA batteries in the closed position. There are no loose parts or cords since the plug is built in.
Although this makes a good travel charger, that is also its weakness. It feels flimsy in the open position, and it takes a up to 8 hours to charge the included batteries. While it does have "overcharge protection", this feature is merely implemented by a timer, and if you interrupt the charge cycle, it will start over. That's not really a problem, though, since NiMH batteries have no memory effect and can be charged in any state. You don't need to wait the full 8 hours before the batteries take up a significant charge. 4 hours should give at least 63% charge. If you desire more rapid charging, you can charge only 2 batteries and the full charging time is halved.
This charger is only compatible with 120v AC, so it can't be used in countries with 220v systems. Also, it can only charge AA or AAA NiMH batteries. If you have other kinds of batteries like 9v's, or NiCd batteries, you must use a different charger. Also, you can only charge batteries 2 or 4 at a time. It will not charge just 1.
Overall, this is a pretty good battery charger. I can't complain, since it does what it's advertised to do. If size is what's important to you, then this will be hard to beat. If you want more speed or versitility, look elsewhere, but be prepared to pay much more.

Strengths: Good brand. Powerful 2500mAh batteries, slow charger (which is GOOD for the batteries)
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is a very good charger. Made by one of the best battery manufacturers, Energizer. The 2500mAh batteries are monsters, they last very long! The 8 hour charging time is actually good for the betteries because those 1hr, 15min charger are putting A LOT of pressures on the batteries which would make them die a lot faster!

Strengths: Compact and Easy in use
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2006-03-18 18:13:18 The charger is compact charger that is nice to take on trips. I did not realize how fast a digital camera ate up batteries, but this charger was the answer after I did realize. This is a real money saver. I recommend this product fully. I got this at a real good deal at Rite-aid and so grabbed one of this.

Strengths: Long lasting batteries
Weaknesses: Slow charge
Summary: The batteries themselves are great, 2500mah. But the charge takes like 8.5 hours for a full charge. Overall, a good buy considering the batteries nice and highly rated. I use in cameras and R/C devices.

Strengths: Light weight. Including 4 2500mAh batteries.
Weaknesses: Not found yet
Summary: It is not a world wide charger, nor for NiCd, and nor a 15-min one . However, for the price and the light weight, what more do you expect? Also, I believe the simpler the design, the lesser chance it will be defective. Just my opinion though.

Strengths: Small, built in AC plug, overcharge protection
Weaknesses: Does not support 220v, long charge time
Summary: This is a overall a good charger. It is very compact so it is good for traveling; unfortunately it will only work in US and Canada (110V) and NOT in Europe (220v) which kind of takes back the small size advantage but this is ok if you don't go to Europe. The package comes with 4 AA NiMH batteries rated at 2500mAh (made in Japan) which are some of the best you can find currently. The charger is made in China and looks a bit like a toy/cheap plastic but it works. The only real issue I had is the charge time of around 8 hours when charging 4 batteries but this is actually a good way to lengthen the batteries life (rapid chargers shorten it). It should be faster if you charge only 2 batteries at once. I will definitely buy again and
recommended it!

Strengths: Compact/pocket-size; protection from overcharging and reversed polarity; battery performance equal to alkalines
Weaknesses: 8-hour charge time; only charges AA and AAA sizes
Summary: This is a great alternative to alkalines. The batteries last just as long, and can be charged around 1000 times, making them much cheaper in the long run - great if you have a camera or music player or other device that you use regularly. (Great for wireless mice too!) I highly recommend this for anyone who uses AA or AAA size batteries.

Good Charger for Digital Camera
Strengths: Sleek/compact can be takee anywhere and fits easily anywhere.
Weaknesses: Doesn't support Multi-Volt Input ( 120/240V)
Summary: Nice to have but can be used for limited purposes. As Chargers especially one for MP3, Digital Camera's are used across Globe when I travel but I can't use this as it has Input restriction and works for only US 120 V which is a pain
