Summary: I purchased my converter box from best buy using one of my coupons. The remote only works when it wants to and you have to mash the buttons down. I put brand new batteries in it and that still did not help. The converter box only has a power button so if you lose or break your remote you are stuck watching the last channel you had it on. I couldn't take the box back because i used my coupon and they wouldn't give me the coupon back. So i went to meijer and purchased another converter box which works great and gets more then half the channels the apex converter box gets and it has the channel buttons on the box and the remote works great. The apex converter box is very slow too. When you search for channels it takes a while and the signals it receives are very week even with the expensive antenna i purchased which works great with the other box. All in all i am very disappointed in this converter box. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A APEX CONVERTER BOX TO ANYONE.
