Strengths: Fast refresh works great for gaming, brightness and colors are all good, no dead pixels
Weaknesses: no height adjustment on the stand
Summary: Went with this model because of the 4ms response and it has worked well for gaming. I'm not saying that a lesser response-time LCD would be a problem for gamers, just thought I'd hedge my bets. This one indeed does well playing games and I can't see any lagging or blurring that I've read can be a problem.
I picked this size so that it is similar in size to my 17" CRT to make it easier when running a multiple screen desktop and when working between computers. This is the first LCD panel we are using at home, so I can only compare side by side with a CRT monitor... I do use an LCD at work though so I do have some reference point.
The height adjustment limitation hasn't been a problem. It sits up just about an inch or so higher than my CRT, and you can adjust the tilt of it. I was also worried that I'd end up with a few dead pixels, but I don't see any dead pixels. The style and clarity of display on this model matches or exceeds anything I've seen, but I haven't tried to over-analyze or measure with any type of instruments... just giving you a common sit down and use it opinion. It is a very comfortable monitor to use. Overall it has been great for me.
