1 Star ReviewStay away from this mouse unless you want your hand to hate you.
Strengths: Unfortuntaley I can't say this mouse has a lot of strengths other than looks.
Weaknesses: Bad ergonomics. Laser tends to shine directly in your eyes while using it. Poor placement of the buttons on the right side of the mouse.
Summary: The ergonomics are horrible compared with the Logitech MX line, particularly the 700 & 1000. I don't understand how gamers go head over heals for this thing when it's clearly one of the worst mice ever developed. Do yourself a favor and get an OptoRite ML101 or a Logitech MX(500/510/518/700/1000).

Strengths: Very very accurate - On Fly Sensativity control - Light and smooth!
Weaknesses: Takes a bit to get used to
Summary: I purchased this mouse because of all the great reviews out there about it. After getting it and putting on my Razer eXact mat I was amazed how easy it was to move this mouse. I gave it a whirl and after about an hour I did not care for the mouse. It wasn't until a 1/2 week later that I actually became acustomed to it. It was hard for me to adjust because I went from a MS intellimouse 2.0 wireless which was heavier, didn't slide as well and wireless. I find myself doing very good with the mouse now and I think in the long run, if you adjust, it is a perfect mouse for gaming. The only extra feature I would like to have seen on it is the ability to shut off the blue LED in the mouse. It looks great with it but when i watch TV via a tuner card i dont want any distractions. Its not too bothersome. GREAT MOUSE!

Strengths: Fast, accurate, and sexy.
Weaknesses: Could cause problems in lower end systems, side buttons take some getting used to.
Summary: This is, to date, the priciest mouse I've ever bought, and I've had no regrets since I've bought it. It's very accurate, very smooth, and it definitely makes a difference in gaming. It takes more to power than your standard mouse, but that's to be expected; if you've got a low end system that can barely handle this mouse, you shouldn't be buying this in the first place. Also note that, unlike its Logitech counterparts, Razer mice are meant to be gripped with the fingertips rather than be hugged by your entire hand. Overall a great, great mouse.

Strengths: Fast Reaction Time, Smooth, Comfortable
Weaknesses: Software not as user friendly as Microsoft :( but not totally bad
Summary: So far the best mouse i've had, and i've used quite a bit of mice. The highest numbers on a mouse out there.. as in 1600dpi, 16bit, 5.8 megapixels (even more than my digital camera), and 6400fps

Strengths: perfectly amazing accuracy
Weaknesses: none besides side buttons
Summary: 2005-08-18 19:48:36 This mouse blows all others out of the water with its elite tracking, response, and speed. My only complaint is that the side buttons are slightly missplaced. Plus...it looks flawless. the best mouse pad that i have found is a poly 3-ring binder that is cut up, because it is black, no glare, flexible, and cheap...$1.00 at dollar tree... This mouse glides over this binder...maybe better than the icemat...

Strengths: Excellent tracking. Glides smooth, and looks classy.
Weaknesses: The side buttons will take some getting used to.
Summary: I have only used this mouse a few days so far. However so far I really like it. I'm using it on top of an inexpensive CS HYDE Teflon mouse pad (do a search on Google for 'CS Hyde mousegear'). It seems to be an excellent combination with the large Teflon feet on the bottom of the mouse. It glides like butter on this mouse pad.

The sensitivity setting definitely will take some getting used to. I currently have it at a setting of 6, and may raise it later. The blue lights add a classy look to the mouse, and aren't quite as bright as I expected, but I think it would annoy me if it was any brighter. The scroll wheel has a nice bright blue glow.

The only negatives I have about the mouse would be the side buttons. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but at first it's hard to find where to push even though they have little bumps so you can feel where to push. I would have preferred separate buttons that stick out slightly.

My mouse is not squeaking or making any annoying noises like some reviews have stated.

I purchased this mouse to replace my Logitech MX-700 wireless mouse. For whatever reason, the past few months, my mx-700 just felt like I was pushing a brick around. It's so heavy with the batteries. Which also causes it not to glide so well.

One final thing is that this "Limited Edition" Plasma version uses a different sensor than the other Diamondback mice do. It has an Infrared sensor which supposedly is even more sensitive for tracking on a mouse pad. The Infrared also does not emit any color, so you won't see the typical blinding red beam coming out of the bottom of the mouse. There will be no color visible.
