Strengths: Both DVD and VCR, HDMI output
Weaknesses: Display
Summary: Usually I think the DVD player is of a lower quality when combined with a VCR player on the same unit, but this one if great. I compared the up-converted signal with a progressive scan and I can see a nice improvement, so I think it was worth the money. The memory card expansion was a nice feature as well.

Strengths: Excellent Picture. Obvious Improvements over previous model, HDMI, HiFi VCR, Looks.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: A Unique Item which can play a DVD at HD Resolutions, includes a Hifi VCR. and an extensive Muti Media Reader. And it does it all very well.

I have tested VCD, DVD-R/RW, MP3, WMA. They work pretty well. DVD+R doesn't work.

Strengths: HDMI jack (HDMI cord included, a $60 value), Video upconversion, P-Scan, regular complement of jacks (RCA, component etc), card reader.
Weaknesses: Does not play DVD+R media
Summary: This player is HDTV-ready, therefore you will not have worry when ether HD-DVD or Bluray comes out. I have this player hooked up to Sanyo HDTV (by HDMI) and Koss 5.1 system (optical audio). The DVD picture and audio is impeccable. This player is packed with extras, it has a 9 in 1 card reader, JPEG viewer, auto clock, video SP/SLP modes, etc.

I am very satisfied with this purchase.
