pnghiem from CA Member Since: Jun 2001 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 13 Days	Polaroid PDV-0820T Strengths: Large LCD screen with control buttons on the frame of the LCD panel; Video input for use as a monitor; swivel LCD panel Weaknesses: low resolution as a 7" portable DVD; a bit thick Summary: After trying out many 7" portable DVD players, I decided to go with the 8" Polaroid DVD player with swivel LCD panel for a larger screen and convenience of holding it as a portable panel LCD display. However, the pixel resolution is still the same as the 7" version albeit its larger screen. For the three-digit price, the construction of the unit looks a bit flimsy. But it is convenient for someone who travels a lot and loves to watch DVD on a plane, car, train and at a remote place away from home but does not have a notebook PC handy. titanmesh44 from FL Member Since: Mar 2005 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 5 Days	portable dvd player Strengths: swivel screen, battery life, accessories and plays bsically anything Weaknesses: picture is ok but not the best out there, plastic looking Summary: i love this player. it's a little fat compared to the more expensive models but decent for the price i got it for. i usually use this to entertain the cousins on car trips and coupled with a blockbuster online membership, you'll be making it worthwhile. controller is easy to use and battery last almost 2 movies long ( about 3 hours ). the build may look cheap compared to the sony or expensive brands but it does its job really well. i've had this over 3 months now and no problems so far. would recommend this if you can find a decent sale on it. DvdPlayerNotWorking from CA Member Since: Jan 2006 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 7 Months	Help With DVD Player Strengths: It used to play MOST of my (Regular) AND BURNED) DVD'S Weaknesses: Lately, the machine has been turning off while I have been watching movies, & listening to CD'S Summary: Hello, I bought a DVD Player last July. Recently, the machine stops, and turns off,while the movie is playing. I don't understand what is happening. Most of the time, when I watch my movies, I have the player plugged in the wall. (As opposed to watching the movies via battery) I can't find my reciept, so I don't know if I will be able to take it back to where I bought it to have someone look @ it? Can someone help? Thank you. We tried it before she left. It's a good player and the colors were good and the volume was loud enough. We once thought it stopped working though, but actually it works fine.
