3 Star ReviewNice looking 26
Strengths: Stylish. Striking black look. Good image quality.
Weaknesses: Stand not adjustable. But you can always wall-mount it.
Summary: I originally ordered the LNR-268W, but the store run out of it, so they offered me this all-black model. Got the TV 3 days later. Turned it on, hooked it up to cable and, the screen showed about 10 vertical green bars on top of the picture. I called Samsung and they sent in a tech 3 days later. It turns out the main panel was bad. The tech replaced the bad part, calibrated the unit and the image looked perfect. I did not expect less, because I paid for a new TV.

My only complaint would be not getting another TV from Samsung instead of having this defective unit repaired. But then, you never know if the replacement TV they could send you has already been serviced. Still, I would recomend this unit. Make sure you buy an extended service plan.

Strengths: Sharp color and good price, good shape
Weaknesses: White balance changes when dynamic contrast in use, no silver finish option
Summary: I have been researching for a brandname 26" TV at around $1000 for a month. No pricey Sony, no dull color Philips, no maybe Toshiba or Panasonic... so Sharp but no stock... so finally a Korean brand Samsung!

This TV has all the things that a normal LCD TV has. It has a dynamic contrast function which changes the white balance of the display when channel changes or the light condition of the room changes. It should be a good feature but I don't like the changing contrast so I turn off the function.

Strengths: That is is black, no extra eye flare that will distract your eyes from the reason you bought it. The resolution is also great AS a PC monitor is was a great fit espceilly for the price
Weaknesses: N/A I honestly can't think of one
Summary: Ultimatly I love this LCD it does what it needs to do and doesn't have the feature like a cable card or what not that you don't even really need. Plus Smsung is a pretty up standing brand, and even though I haven't had it for a long time I have a good feeling it well be great for a while. A+++

Strengths: The quality of the picture is even better than I imagined. Watching TV while doing "work" on the computer is great. Compact size for 26" monitor.
Weaknesses: Poor remote which is slow to react and unable to be programmed except to other Samsung products.
Summary: Set up of this TV is a breeze. I do not yet subscribe to HDTV but do use a local cable service for basics. TV quality is very good and I can imagine how wonderful it will be with HDTV service. Color rendition is excellent with lots of possibilities for customizing. Sound quality is quite adequate when using just the internal speakers. Menu is easily accessible for changes in sound, picture, source etc. This is easy to do even when using the remote. Too bad the remote itself is limited vis a vis other brand equipment. I do have to use the separate remotes for other equipment, but a new universal remote should fix that.

Strengths: This LCD has a crisp picture, vivid color, lots of inputs and E-Z set up.
Weaknesses: Black is a little to black, not alot of detail.
Summary: I watched the movie Elecktra using a denon 2910 and audioquest YIQ1 component cable. I watch cable tv on it, although it is not as nice as a tube tv in this way, it was still quite nice and pleasing. This LCD looked great in every way and is a worth the purchase.
