1 Star ReviewThe folks at iRiver refused to repair my 14-month ...
Strengths: USB male jack is built in to the MP3 player. Freeing you of a cable to transport music from PC to the MP3 Player.
Weaknesses: Its settings. (Repeating a song takes 7 pushings of a button to accomplish) Its design. (It is ugly and headphone jack is located on the side as opposed to the top of the mp3 player.)
Summary: The folks at iRiver refused to repair my 14-month old IFP-190 256MB MP3 player. So, I had to buy a replacement MP3 player. I considered two things and two things only. One, it can't be from iRiver since it will break in a little over a year or so. Two, it has to be small, portable and cheap. That is how I ended up with Buslink's made-in-china MP3 player. Found the cheapest retailer from Pricegrabber.com and bought it two days ago. I just received it over 6 hours ago.

The MP3 player has only one visible strength. It has a USB male jack built in. You won't need a cable to transport music to and from the player.

That is about it. Now, the cons. Well, its programming reminds me of a bad BASIC or Fortran programming from college days. It shows this ugly 5-second animation on LCD when turning the unit on. I would like to know why. What made the management at Buslink think that adding a stupid, time- and energy-consuming animation would be an amenity that customers would prefer. To find a song in this 256mb unit, you would need to have a strong set of fingers. Whereas iRiver made the song-fidning an easy task, Buslink punishes you by having to flip the small but painful lever many, many times to find a song. Finding a song is a hard task but having a song to repeat, now that is a task that involves a squinting and a brainpower.

This was a stupid mistake and I regret greatly of buying this Buslink MP3 player. iRiver rocks except that its durability is quite sketchy. I should have coughed up more dough to buy an iPod. I have wasted a hundred bucks. Don't make the same mistake that I made.
