3 Star ReviewGood as headset and mp3 player, BAD FM tuner.
Strengths: good as bluetooth headset and mp3 player
Weaknesses: bad fm tuner
Summary: These type of headphones will be perfect for many many people like me that listen to the radio a lot of the day, but don't want to miss a call, and want taking that call to be a breeze. With this type of headphone you just push one button and it switches over to phone mode, and when you're done talking, just push the button again, and you're back to listening to the radio, or the mp3 player! UNFORTUNATELY, this particular model has very bad FM tuner sensitivity and does not recieve any but the very strongest stations. I called the manufacturer and they admitted that the tuner performance was very sub standard on this first generation model, and I sent it back. I personally need the tuner much more than the mp3 player. If you don't, then you may be very happy with this one, and won't need to wait for an improved model as I am. As I said, the phone and mp3 functions are great. The idea of an SD card slot is wonderfull. The ergonomics are great. Comfortable on the ears and even when dropped down onto the shoulders in "stand by" mode, waiting to take a call or listen to more NPR or digital music. Sound quality was satisfactory as well. The only other critique I have is that the buttons are big, decorative ones which can get bumped and activated when handling the unit on and off your head. I suppose you could get used to knowing just where to grab it, but a better solution is smaller buttons. Oh, and I'd prefer black instead of red.
