Strengths: Mounting template diagram
Weaknesses: Instructions are a little weak regarding the selection of the bracket sizes and how to install them.
Summary: Mounting bracket kit was received within the number of days estimated by Abt Electronics. I selected Abt because of their price ($16 vs $35 and $49 elsewhere) and because of a referral from a co-worker who had ordered from Abt. The kit had everything I needed, but the instructions could of included a few more diagrams to idiot-proof the installation. Hardware quality is excellent.

Strengths: Instructions included fairly understandable
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is a nifty way to turn a countertop GE into an undercabinet one - just make sure your microwave is one of the ones listed as the installation holes are necessary and not in just plain microwave countertop models. DON'T buy this from GE however - I used PriceGrabber and found it for less than half what GE wanted!!!

Strengths: Easy-to-follow instructions with cut-out templates
Weaknesses: Many options
Summary: We got the microwave installed in our condo and freed up some valuable counterspace. It was a two-day project, but was oh-so-much-easier than installing an over-the-range unit! Definitely worth the expense for this microwave.

2 Star ReviewMounting kit which should already be included with Microwave.
Strengths: Only tool sold to mount the microwave under cabinet.
Weaknesses: Pretty bad design.
Summary: The GE microwave sold that requires this kit is already very expensive (around $250) and I can't believe that they do not already include this kit with it. $30 price for a few screws plus metal is a big rip-off. Moreover, this has a very bad design. My previous microwave's mounting kit was much easier to install. However, you have no other choice. You pay almost $200 more for microwave just to install it under the cabinet and then you pay $30 for this kit! Though there are plenty of brands that make over-the-range microwaves, unfortunately this is the only under the cabinet microwave sold today, as far as I know, that's why you are ripped off really badly.
