2 Star ReviewExperiences with Double Oven
Strengths: The grill is effective. Controls for both ovens and the grill are intuitive.
Weaknesses: The controls which are at the top of the oven get very hot when using the grill a lot. The main oven door went 'slack' after 14 months. The fan oven doesn't cook food as evenly as expected.
Summary: We bought the oven in April 2006 for £650 and just recently had to replace the clock timer at a cost of £125 and the fan electric heating element at a cost of £105 (includes call out and fitting). I wouldn't have expected this on a SMEG product and when I contact SMEG I was basically told that it was outside the 12 months gaurantee and down to me to get it repaired. Purchasers beware!
