 Warning Magnavox DVRs are defective !! Strengths: When it works is it a nice unit. Has lots of connectivity, good picture, many options. Excellent for coaster production.
Weaknesses: The DVD recorder will lock closed and it will cost you to get it repaired, tnen it will break again. Also trashes a lot of DVDs when 'finalizing.'
Summary: do some research before you buy it IT was attractively priced at Best Buy, and has many features. However, I soon found out that it will not work with the faster +R disks. It also tends to trash disks when 'finalizing' They work fine until you finalize, then it will no longer detect the disk, and it turns into a coaster.
