Price was great with rebates ($1488 at local BiMart); however with cable HD feed, fast action, close figures break down into squares or become very grainy and blurry. Panasonic x2 not helpful with 50 minute waits both times. Cable people rechecked line and signal is good. DVD seems ok. Also regular TV projection is much worse than with other analogue sets in house, even considering large size. Considering return and switch to DLP unit, although the new 1080 p chips are over double my cost. Another negative: the stand bows outward about 4-5 inches, making flush mount with closing cabinet doors impossible. gunner1st from UT Member Since: Sep 2004 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 2 Months	Good quality projection TV - Strengths: Low cost (rebate) and sharp picture (especially in HD) Weaknesses: Slow warm up time - 30 seconds to view Summary: After extended research, decided on this TV, partly due to cost savings, but especially when compared to DLP, picture was crisper and colors more vivid. It DOES take some time to turn on, an aspect hard to get used to when ready to watch a movie. Great for gaming (Gamecube) and not bad for sound - though sound system is FAR better! :) Also a great choice when getting over the air signal, as the picture is still pretty decent (when compared with DLP.) There are also a lot of connectivity options in the back so you can really hook up all of your components if needed (no sound system). I am a little worried about the lamp, but due to great cost, not too worried when it comes to that point that I'll need to replace it, and I'm sure the cost will come down with time. The TV is not heavy at all and can easliy be moved by 2 persons. Even with a lot of daylight in the room the image does not fade or appear washed out. The warranty on the bulb is 18 months, which must have been extended by the manufacturer as a single page insert was placed in the owners manual. 95% of People (19/20) found this review helpful. Strengths: Definitely: great quality picture, good sound, only 80 something pounds, stylish, easy to set up & use of tv’s functions, did I mention great price. Weaknesses: It takes a few seconds for the picture to appear when changing channels. Summary: We have this TV hooked up to Directv. Both the manuals from Panasonic and Directv are very poorly written. We are on the phone with both "tech desks" and are slowly writing our own manual.
