Polk Audio Polk db 650 6-1/2" 2-way Speakers 6-1/2" Car Speakers

May be unbeatable at this price

Strengths: Nice clean highs. Fills in the mids fairly well.

Weaknesses: None.

Summary: These Polk speakers are built extremely well. They have a good strong feel to them. The highs are very clean and not harsh at all. If you are looking to fill in the lower range you'd be better off with a 6x9 or preferably a subwoofer. I am driving these with a 70 watt rms amp and they are handling it just fine. If you are using or are planning to use an amp with more power you might be better off with the component version (db6500) which will handle 100 watts rms compared to the 65 watts these are rated for. Keep in mind that you could buy 2 pairs of these for the cost of one component set. I paid $84.95 with free UPS shipping and couldn't be happier.

Can't go wrong with these speakers - excellent sound/value

Strengths: Excellent sound, excellent bass.

Weaknesses: None

Summary: I paired these with my Pioneer 3900MP and they sound wonderful. My MP3's don't sound compressed and they are much better than the stock Honda speakers. Trust me, the sooner you dump your factory speakers, the more you will thank me! Polk Audio really know how to make good speakers.

Great Speakers, Great Value

Strengths: Excellent mid-range sound, decent high frequency performance, easy to install, great value

Weaknesses: Bass sound is passable, but not excellent

Summary: I purchased these speakers after one of the factory speakers in my car blew out. I'm not a huge audiophile and had never seen the need to upgrade my sound system. That said, I'm glad the speaker blew out, because the sounds coming out of these blows away the cheap factory ones. The low end can still get a little scratchy (although it's much better than the factory ones, obviously). Other than that, they sound great, and I can enjoy my commute every morning that much more because of them.

They were easy to install, though thankfully I knew someone who had done this before to give me some pointers beforehand. There were some problems fitting them in my car's speaker mounts (2001 Subaru Forester) but I was able to get around it.

Overall I'm very pleased with them, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pair of speakers who is not an audiophile looking for the highest end sound system he can buy.

What a wonderful speaker

Strengths: Cheap. Good looking. Easy install.

Weaknesses: Not really.

Summary: The speakers worth every penny. The highs are clear. The lows

may not be comparable to those subwoofers, but for me the speakers have punched very well so far. With Crutchfields'service, the price cannot be beat.

Polk db650

Strengths: Balanced, organic sound. Love the silk tweeters. Warm mids.

Weaknesses: Bass is horrible, now my subs handle that stuff so all is good for me.

Summary: These are the best speakers for the price i havd owned most other big brands and they have come nowhere close to the sound quality of these. It will sound much better with an amp and a sub.
