Strengths: Great built-in bluetooth, 802.11g wifi and cellular modem -- get connected anywhere, sharp screen, really long 6 hour battery life, good software package, Dual-Layer DVD burner comes standard and builtin
Weaknesses: No floppy drive, middle of the road processor speed, limited 60 GB hard drive not upgradeable, pricey
Summary: If you need a small, light notebook that does it all, and in particular allows you acces to the web, this is for you. This notebook is only 3 pounds and has a super sharp screen and amazingly long 6 hour battery life. You have bluetooth, 802.11g wifi and a cellular modem so you can connect from anywhere and switch the method in which you connect a click of a button.

The standard Dual Layer DVD burner is awesome, allowing to backup, author or archive disks of up to 9 GB!!!

It would have been nice if a floppy drive was also included, but I've found a that memory stick works just as well. The bluetooth works great for bluetooth devices, like the bluetooth mini-mouse. The wifi is flawless. Haven't tried cellular yet, as the first month is free, but then every other months is a whopping $60 per month. Ick. It's Cingular, but I've heard some people have gotten it to work with T-Mobile.

The software included is basic productivity software in the way of a full MS Works Suite and basic DVD/CD burning software as well as some Norton Security software and a bunch of dmeo software. All you really need for work on the road.

DVD player buttons on the face of the computer helps utilizing this as a portable DVD player too, which is really nice and much better than even the best portable DVD player.

The 60GB hard driv eis decent, but 80GB or even 100 GB would have been better, or at least a upgradeable HD. 512 MB RAM is decent with upgradability to 1GB RAM. Also decent.

All in all, a good computer, if you can stomach the price. It's quite a bit more expensive compared to its competitors, but its; the smallest and the lightest.

Strengths: The Sony Vaio T350 is a work of art within itself with its excellent construction, beautiful screen, and portability.
Weaknesses: Have not found any yet.
Summary: I am very, very pleased with the overall function and performance of it. It is absolutely the most connected and easy to use machine I have ever owned. For me, it's absolutely a desktop replacement. I like the tactile feel and overall quality of the keyboard. Wi-Fi, Edge, Bluetooth . . . this baby has it all and makes it extremely easy to verify and switch connections. It is a bit on the expensive side but I think it is well worth it simply because of it's size and cutting edge features.

Strengths: bright screen, very portable and DVD burner for this small size notebook
Weaknesses: pricey and only one year factory warranty...
Summary: I bought it this one a couple of days ago with a huge discount because it was a discontinued model. But it was still expansive compared to other laptops...I couldn't see any big difference between this one and the current model TX600 series...

It is very small and light-weighted so you can carry it everywhere without feeling that you carry a laptop. In addition, it has even a dvd burner for this tiny laptop. And it has almost everything that is needed for multimedia entertainment as well as for business or school use.

Overall all, I love this tiny thing, but still, I think it is too expensive with just coming with one year factory warranty... With the high price, it should have 3 years warranty as IBM does.

Strengths: Extremely compact and light
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I upgraded to T350 from T250. Didn't find much difference between the two models, the only thing is that T350 supports cingular wireless internet access, which is too expensive for most people, so I don't think it is worthwhile. Another thing is DVD burner speed is faster than T250, upgraded from 2.4x to 4x. Other parts and softwares are same. Loving it.
