Strengths: Great built-in bluetooth, 802.11g wifi and cellular modem -- get connected anywhere, sharp screen, really long 6 hour battery life, good software package, Dual-Layer DVD burner comes standard and builtin
Weaknesses: No floppy drive, middle of the road processor speed, limited 60 GB hard drive not upgradeable, pricey
Summary: If you need a small, light notebook that does it all, and in particular allows you acces to the web, this is for you. This notebook is only 3 pounds and has a super sharp screen and amazingly long 6 hour battery life. You have bluetooth, 802.11g wifi and a cellular modem so you can connect from anywhere and switch the method in which you connect a click of a button.
The standard Dual Layer DVD burner is awesome, allowing to backup, author or archive disks of up to 9 GB!!!
It would have been nice if a floppy drive was also included, but I've found a that memory stick works just as well. The bluetooth works great for bluetooth devices, like the bluetooth mini-mouse. The wifi is flawless. Haven't tried cellular yet, as the first month is free, but then every other months is a whopping $60 per month. Ick. It's Cingular, but I've heard some people have gotten it to work with T-Mobile.
The software included is basic productivity software in the way of a full MS Works Suite and basic DVD/CD burning software as well as some Norton Security software and a bunch of dmeo software. All you really need for work on the road.
DVD player buttons on the face of the computer helps utilizing this as a portable DVD player too, which is really nice and much better than even the best portable DVD player.
The 60GB hard driv eis decent, but 80GB or even 100 GB would have been better, or at least a upgradeable HD. 512 MB RAM is decent with upgradability to 1GB RAM. Also decent.
All in all, a good computer, if you can stomach the price. It's quite a bit more expensive compared to its competitors, but its; the smallest and the lightest.
