Strengths: Excellent product at lowest price ANYWHERE! Easy to use with most universal remotes using the Sony code. Great picture quality.
Weaknesses: Manufacturer remote is the only weak point.
Summary: Tv is very light weight and attractive. Has very good picture quality and was very easy to connect to all components. Remote is funtion poor, but also easy to use for basic funtions.

Strengths: Large TV, lightweight, but very stable. Easy to move around due to its lightweight characteristics. Extremely clear HGTV pictures; so realistic my cats watch birdwatch.
Weaknesses: Sometimes takes a while to warm up. This may be due to cable connection problems rather than the TV itself. Sometime have problems adjusting sound level. May be due to my technical dyslexia.
Summary: The first time I watched this TV, I cried, it was that wonderful. I bought this TV around a year ago when the price was around $1400, but it was well worth the money, like almost half the price of other TV's of its size. I remembered Westinghouse products from the Westinghouse Theater I watched on TV as a child in the Chicago area. So I figured that I would rely on Westinghouse's good name and product history. I liked this TV so much that I went back and bought a smaller one for my bedroom, so now I have two Westinghouse flat screen TV's. I had a problem with the cable guys in California not knowing how to connect the smaller TV to high definition, but the Washington cable guys knew how to connect the TV. I no longer use my surround sound equipment, the sound is that great. I would HIGHLY recommend this TV.

Strengths: Nice color for an entry level LCD TV. Loud stereo. Easy connection to PC and DVD player.
Weaknesses: Remote is not very user friendly, especially with no Caption botton.
Summary: This is a good value TV, or a huge PC monitor, for it's price. It is light and thin; easy connection to DVD player and laptop computer - very important for a technology idiot like me. The picture quality seems great after some fiddling with the options since this is an upgrade of my 10 year-old 19" tube TV. For someone who is used to HDTV, it may not seem that good. The remote control is its only weakness to me, for almost all the functions are accessable only through menu, including caption. But overall I think this is a great TV for its price (got it from BestBuy for $809 plus tax).

Strengths: Display is crisp, connections are well layed out and the options are impressive
Weaknesses: PIP feature is not clearly marketed. Since it is only one tuner, you have limited options for display in the PIP
Summary: I had a couple of questions and Westinghouse customer support was very helpful and I actually got to talk to a person.

Quality product at reasonable price. I have Tivo, DVD player and VCR. Connections were readily available for all and I could still connect a dish system, PC or DVI if I wanted.

Strengths: Picture Quality and real fast response time.
Weaknesses: Menu Options, Remote Control and NO on-off light.
Summary: I got this great TV for $999 + $53 shipping by far the best deal for quality for the buck. I have been shopping for a while and I almost bought the Olevia by Sintax but this one is definitely a better quality TV.

It works great as computer monitor it has every I/O you really need. The only thing I don't like is the menu, the remote control and the fact you never really know if the TV is on because there is no light.

Strengths: Style, picture quality, side A/V connections.
Weaknesses: Remote control interferes with APEX DVD player.
Summary: 2005-12-18 19:49:16 The picture is comparable to Samsung and Sony LCD TV showing the same source at Best Buy but priced at several hundred less. Crisp picture when you hook it up with a HD source or even just a progressive DVD player.

I also prefer its style compared to Olevia LT32HVE, which has two side speakers that are not detachable. It has plenty connections, including one A/V connection on the side that is easily accessible from the front. My only regret has been the remote, which interferes with APEX AD2600 DVD player.

Strengths: Price. Price. Price. Westinghouse actually a known name and good reviews from assorted research sources. Terrific sound. Size allows it to fit older entertainment centers.
Weaknesses: The black on the TV is not as dark as with other more expensive models. Also, the TV reception, if not HD, will look a little washed out.
Summary: When looking for a new TV for our bedroom we were certain that we would not buy another heavy CRT TV again and would look at flat screen models (we believe that this is the future of TV). So we looked at LCD. The problem was trying to maximize the limited space we had in our existing entertainment center. Only some units have the speakers on the bottom but most do have it on the side which reduces the size of the screen when dealing with limited spaces. There are only a few brands that actually make this kind of shape. When comparing many of the units and doing research, for the money, hands down, this is one of the best units out there. If money was no concern, we would have gone with the Samsung since it has a crisper richer black to it giving a sharper image. However, given the sale at Best Buy ($899) a couple of weeks ago, it would have been twice the price. So, on a practical cost benefit analysis, on a budget, this is one of the best for the money.

Strengths: VERY BRIGHT AND SHARP SCREEN. A LOT OF CONNECTION OPTIONS. THE BEST IS USING DVI CONNECTION TO COMPUTER TO MAKE PERFECT MONITOR FOR VIEWING PHOTOS AND PLAYING VIDEO.
Weaknesses: REMOTE CONTROL IS KIND OF CHEAP LOOKING BUT BASIC FUNCTION IS VERY EASY TO USE.
Summary: I GOT THIS GREAT TV FOR $899 + TAX AT BEST BUY LAST WEEK. THE QUALITY IS VERY GOOD TO MAJOR BRANDS TV. BUT THE PRICE IS HALF TO MAJOR BRANDS TV. I HAVE HDTV TUNER CARD IN MY COMPUTER TO RECEIVE OVER THE AIR HDTV BROADCAST. THE PICTURE IS INCREDIBLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TV.

Strengths: Price, Picture Quality Great, Setup
Weaknesses: Remote, Remote, Remote
Summary: Were do i start. This tv was steal for the price i payed ($850). Priced many a lcd over the last 6 months and this by far is the best deal. Regular cable is a 7 out of 10, but the HD channels and quality of picture by far make up for that. The NBC HD broadcast of NASCAR is incredible. Would recommend this tv in a heartbeat.

Payed $850 at local ShopKo, was on sale for $999 and with mom's 15 percent senior discount, thank goddess for mom's.

Strengths: Very bright and sharp screen. Nice silver design. A lot of connection options including DVI.
Weaknesses: Remote control is kind of cheap looking.
Summary: This is the best 32" LCD TV around $1000. The image quality is almost as good as Sharp and Sony which cost hundred's more. The speaker on the bottom design makes the TV dimension narrower. Good if you don't have a wide space to put the TV.

Strengths: price and picture quality
Weaknesses: cheap remote control
Summary: looked at other brands and yes there other ones with a better picture but they were 3 to 4 times the price. a great bargain for the very I've read that some people didn't like this model because of the bright blue led light that tells you the tv is on, (which is very bright and just below the screen)but you can turn it off. the picture in picture can't be used for 2 tv channels kind of a wasted feature. but still a great buy

Strengths: Picture. Price. Did I mention picture?
Weaknesses: Bad remote. Gimpy stand.
Summary: Pros: I did a lot of comparisons before buying the Westinghouse LTV-32W1. On paper, it compared well with higher-priced 32-inch models. The three key specs seem to be brightness (measured as cd/m), contrast ratio (the range between the darkest element on a screen and the brightest) and the speed pixels can change (given in milliseconds). Here are the comparisons: The 32-inch Samsung LN-R328W: Brightness: 500 cd/m, Contrast Ratio: 3000:1, and Speed: 12ms. The Sharp LC-G5C32U: Brightness: 450/m, Contrast Ratio: 800:1, and Speed:

Strengths: lightweight, thin, great price, and very good picture
Weaknesses: no hdmi and only one tuner and remote isn't great, just basic
Summary: It has to be one of the best values for under $1200, I picked it up at Best Buy for $954 including 6% sales tax with no interest until 2008 (I hope it doesn't get better after Thanksgiving). I had an old 27 inch RCA that was 10 years old and I am so happy I got this.

Right now I don't even have digital service, but movies and Halo 2 are superb. Would definitely recommend this to anyone for the value. Sure if you spend $1500 it will be better, but you are spending enough to buy a decent home theatre system and this tv.

3 Star ReviewYou get what you Pay for
Strengths: Ease of use/setup. Many Output and Input hookups.
Weaknesses: Terrible Picture when not using HD.
Summary: I purchased this TV on sale for 800 dollars with a 4 year Warranty from Electronics-Expo. I was show the TV in the store, and it seemed to have quite a good picture, so I decided to purchase it. When I brought it home and hooked it up to my Satellite (Non-HD)the picture was terrible. The images were far from being crisp.

So I decided, it was just because I had seen it with HD hookups in the store. So I hooked it up to my DVD player via S-video Cable, and again, the picture was bad. There is Ghosting, and images seem to have 'noise' around them. I played with all the settings for an hour or so, and nothing helped.

Overall if you have an HD hookup, this TV will do fine. I would not recommend using this TV with normal cable or satellite. I will not buy a Westinghouse product again; I am working on returning the TV and buying a Samsung TV.
