BenQ FP91G+19
Strengths: awesome color, sharp, crisp and jumping off of the screen also very clear type at the non-natural setting.
Weaknesses: dead pixels
Summary: 2006-04-19 22:27:24 I really like this monitor a lot. I didn't want to send it back to where I purchased it from because it's a great monitor expecially at the price, but since I found several dead pixels and BenQ has an 8 dead pixel warranty, I thought for a brand new, just out-of-the-box, I'd rather just return the monitor.
I don't know if this was just one that slipped through quality control.

Strengths: Clear picture, fast response, vivid colors, no dead pixels, DVI & VGA.... good price
Weaknesses: OSD (monitor adjustment etc) is a little confusing. (auto adjust feature at least)
Summary: from the minute that i pulled this monitor out of the box i have been impressed with its great performance and nice design. For the money I have not seen a better deal. I tell all my friends to get one!

Strengths: Price, colors, clarity, sharpness, 8ms, DVI
Weaknesses: Very minor weakness... base design, adjustment, height.
Summary: This is a terrific monitor and a great value. Color, clarity, speed, price... there is very little to say negative about it. Would most definitely buy this unit again.
It has worked well for me in a dual monitor setup with a Dell flat panel beside.
The DVI input is a big plus in this price range.
I run it in 1280x1024 32 bit mode. Graphics and text are sharp and clear. Did not have to adjust it... worked well out of the box.
5 Stars!

Strengths: Low price, 8ms response time, simple clean design, DVI port.
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: Great lcd. with the 8ms response time there is hardly any noticable ghosting in CS.S or BF2. Monitor is a little on the bright side but can be fixed easily with controls. (Besides would rather it be too bright then dark.) overall great investment for someone looking for a nice 19" lcd but does not want to pay the price of hundreds more. Got mine from Zipzoomfly for only 311.95 with free 2nd day shipping.

Strengths: price, color, DVI, 8ms response time
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: This is my first LCD monitor (was previously using a 13" CRT!), and I spent a lot of time comparing monitor specs, prices, and reviews. This one seemed like the best deal. Setup is easy - just plug it in out of the box. Mine had no dead pixels, and the DVI cable is included. I have not noticed any ghosting, and have not had any other problems with it thus far. The picture is nice and sharp, with great colors. I got mine from NewEgg for ~$240 after rebates, so it was a great deal.

Strengths: Bright, vivid, rich colors, sharp text.
Weaknesses: haven't noticed any
Summary: For the price, I thought I would have to give up some performance, but I am happily surprised. This monitor outperforms monitors costing hundreds more. Those who are complaining about color need to look at their video card or system setup because this monitor is definitely capable of some stunning colors.

Strengths: Bright, crisp and a lot of desktop
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I have been getting BenQ LCD’s for a few years now as well as BenQ projectors. We really like their product. We have had no issues to date and they have rebates and promotions all the time. This is the most recent monitor we bought and already have three of them. I have not received a single complaint from any of the staff; only complements.

Strengths: Price, clarity, versatility with DVI input included.
Weaknesses: Not completely tiltable like other models
Summary: 3 months after a purchase and having been through Envision, Viewsonics, etc...This BenQ keeps up the pace with the best of them. DVI cable is included, which is a plus since that can add $10-15 to the cost. No dead pixels on mine, no noticeable ghosting. All around performer.

Strengths: PRICE,ZERO defective pixels(so far),Response time is true 8ms making it a good gaming screen.
Weaknesses: None that are worth commenting on
Summary: First of all i would like to comment of previous users post.
Are you a child or what ??
If you dont have anything worse than..."looks ugly, hard to adjust the brightness"...then for heavens sake dont post at all.
Looks ugly??...compared to what??...a 700 dollar sony ??
Hard to adjust brightness??...it only takes 2 botton presses to get into brightness and contrast setting!!!!(RTFM)
..........................................................
Now as a gamer i was very picky when it came to switch to an lcd screen and was terrified of the ghosting effect until i saw one of these babies in use with a FPS game....
I ran and got one without a second thought and have been enjoying it about 45 days now with one FPS after the other and ZERO regrets.
I know there are a few screens that are a little better on the market but at 325 euros ????....not many can even come close.
Good product BenQ !!

Strengths: Sharp, bright colors, no dead or stuck pixels, no ghosting; DVI and D-sub inputs
Weaknesses: None noticed so far.
Summary: I was reluctant to buy a no-name brand monitor mail-order - worried about dead pixels, 3 yr. warranty not useful if the company is gone before then. BenQ has been around long enough I figured that wouldn't be a problem. Their website lists these as "A grade" - don't know whether that's a guarantee of no dead pixels, but I didn't get any. It looks great and didn't need any special adjustment out of the box (e.g., not "too bright" as some have reported). The base is as adjustable as any other LCD monitor I've used, so I don't know what the issue some reviewers have had with that is. We don't do high frame-rate games, but in normal use, the games my kids do play, and for DVDs, the display is perfect - no ghosting, bright, good viewing angle range. The price after rebate was very good for a 19" LCD with 8 ms response and DVI. I'm happy.

Strengths: 19 inch with both DVI and VGA inputs. Monitor able to switch between the two inpus. 8ms refresh time. Work on both PC and Mac.
Weaknesses: no real weakness. The monitor is a bit on the heavy side, but most likely you'll not move it too often.
Summary: I bought this monitor on sale at 269.99, and I have to say that I'm very satisfied with the product. The monitor has DVI and VGA inputs, and is able to switch between those 2 so one could hook up two computers to the same monitor.

Low quality monitor
Strengths: Low price. Supports DVI. Simple nice design.
Weaknesses: I bought two and both have completely different brightness and color tones. BenQ's quality control of products is very questionable. Power cable and VGA cables (5 feet) are too short.
Summary: One of them is too bright and I had to lower Brightness to 40. Color is bluish and I had to set Color to Reddish. The other is dark and Brightness 90 is equivalent to Brightness 40 of the first monitor. Color is greenish and I had to adjust color manually, but I have not realized true white yet. This should never happen to quality products.

Strengths: Low price, 8ms response time, simple clean design, DVI port.
Weaknesses: color not so good.
Base design.
Summary: Low price with fast response time and DVI port.
Factory default color setting was too reddish, but can be improved by changing color settings.
Base of the monitor is not so good.
Menues didn't have any special settings.
A good monitor for the price, but could been better.

I don't understand why it has so many positive review
Strengths: bright
Weaknesses: ugly, difficult to adjust the brightness
Summary: I'm not satisfied with my purchase. It's not worth the money, even though it's so cheap. I prefer my previous 17" viewsonic LCD. It's much better than this one. It's fishy that so many positive reviews are given to this. I will never buy Benq's products.
