Strengths: Flat screen, bright color, large screen
Weaknesses: Too heavy for ladies :p
Summary: I love this monitor. My 3 year old Sony died so I purchased this one as the substitute. Well, compare with Sony I am very statisfied with this monitor. I mean the color, the easy use. I believe this is a good buy.

I need a cheap CRT monitor for daily use, because ...
Strengths: fair in daily use, cheap after rebate in OfficeDepot.
Weaknesses: Not high tech specs.
Summary: I need a cheap CRT monitor for daily use, because I do not like LCD(expensive, no bright color, also high power cosuming, only can save your space on desktop, but I have enough space for a much cheaper CRT). When found it cheap at officedepot after some rebate, I bought. Good color and really flat(dynaflat is better than natureflat because it is more nature.)

Strengths: VERY GOOD RESOLUTION
Weaknesses: IT HEAVY AND BULKY
Summary: I HAVE BEEN USING THE ProView XF-9S Monitor FOR ONE MONTH NOW AND FIND IT HAS AWESOME RESOLUTION. IT IS VERY CLEAR AND HAS MANY FEATURES. IT HAS BUTTONS ON THE FRONT TO ADJUST ANYTHING YOU WANT AND THE FLAT SCREEN IS VERY APPEALING. IT ALSO DOES A SYSTEM CHECK WHEN POWERED DOWN WHICH IS NICE TO KNOW IT IS WORKING RIGHT. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS UNLESS YOU MOVE YOUR MONITOR AROUND A LOT BECAUSE IT IS HEAVY AND BULKY BUT A GREAT MONITOR.

ProView XF-9S Monitor
Strengths: Great bargain price.
Weaknesses: Bulky, two tone silver face/ back body, refresh rates
Summary: Great budget 19" monitor for regular use. Not for professionals. Bulky size but that is common for all 19" CRT's. Low refresh rates for high resolutions. Don't really like the two tone color but that is just my opinion. If you have space and are in a budget then this monitor will meet your needs.

Strengths: Cool design, flat screen, rich and vivid color, quiet during on and off, clean image.
Weaknesses: bulky, heavy, refresh rate could have been higher
Summary: I've been using this monitor for just about a week now and I'm totally satisfied. This monitor looks nice with a silver and gray outside. The screen is truly flat and the colors are vivid and rich. I was a bit worried about the 60 Hz refresh rate, but have not felt anything irritating to my eyes yet. Sure, higher refreshing rate could have been better, but this monitor isn't too bad. It is big and heavy, just like any other CRT monitors. But I prefer the picture quality of CRT to that of LCD, so the size and the weight problem is not a big deal. I would recommend this monitor to anybody looking for a decent, cheap, big-screen CRT monitor.

Strengths: Clear picture. Adjustable resolution.
Weaknesses: Bulky
Summary: I bought this monitor even i owned 2 19" LCD from Dell. The viewing area is 18" for this monitor. The strength is its brightness. Picture and text was clear and sharp under 1280x1024 @ 75Hz under everyday use and/or game. The weakness is common to all CRT, bulky and heavy. Consume tons of power.

Strengths: Price, bright, clear picture with good color
Weaknesses: Could be a bit brighter
Summary: I am an average user (not a gamer) and this monitor fills my needs perfectly. It replaces a Mitsubishsi 17" and , although not quite as bright, I don't regret the choice. Recommended.

Strengths: Cheap price.
Good resolution.
Weaknesses: Heavy and big.
Slow refresh.
Summary: I wanted an affordable 19 inch monitor to replace my old 17 inch monitor. Since I don’t play a lot of games on this computer (use it mainly for work), it exceeds all my expectations for this price range (cost $30 after rebate @ Office Depot). If you are not too demanding of your monitor, the XF-9B will work for you.

Strengths: Crystal Clear text
Weaknesses: Weak warranty coverage. (You must pay for shipping both ways)
Summary: 2005-06-11 07:01:27 So far, this monitor has been as good as any I've used. The text is clear, colors are brilliant, and the features are plentiful. It runs best at 1024x768 at 85 Hz. The viewable area is 18 inch which is standard for CRTs rated at 19".

Strengths: Bright,inexpensive after rebates
Weaknesses: heavy!! no support for this monitor on KDS website,
Summary: O.k. monitor for the price. Definitely wouldn't have kept it if it wasn't for the rebates! Emailed KDS support for information on drivers for this monitor and all emails have come back due to problems on KDS's end. Kinda worryed about future support for this monitor. But all in all not bad for around $34.00 after rebates!

Strengths: 19 inch flat screen crt at the price of most 17 inch monitors.
Weaknesses: Not the best for gaming because of tentative refresh rate.
Summary: This monitor does a great job of providing a dependable viewing source at a reasonable cost. Large clear graphics along with a wide footprint. Works better at 1280x1024 with 60 Mhz. The Fine dot pitch (0.20mm horizontal, 0.25mm vertical) for super sharpness, may seem misleading but is truly consistant.
The 3 year parts and labor warranty is a added bonus also.

Hey, the price was right, after rebates, from Offi ...
Strengths: Cheap cost, not super heavy. Fine for a basic user who does not do graphics work with images.
Weaknesses: Poor quality image for graphics work, at 1280 x 1024 you are maxed out at 75 Hz and graphics work is a bit fuzzy.
Summary: Hey, the price was right, after rebates, from Office Depot and the advertised specs looked good. Well, it is only worth the after rebate price. Fine for the average consumer but can't recommend it for anything beyond that. The web site doesn't even have this model listed and my monitor was manufactured in Dec 2004 per the label on the back. I have sent emails to the links on the web site but all have been returned to me. Not happy.
