Strengths: Great image quality!
Weaknesses: Lack of Printer Profiles
Summary: I purchased this printer for my wife to avoide draging my Epson 2200 every time she wanted a few snap shots. Now I use this amazing little printer more than she does! For what it is this printer is amazing and despite the claims of being slow, I can asure you that given the quality of the images, it is down right fast! The only thing I would ask for is a better array of profiles for photoshop. PIM is good for low end snap shots but this printer is capable of so much more!!! I have found one profile on the inkjetart site that gives pretty good results but would like to see Epson put out some of their own. Perhaps they are worried about this litte guy competing with some of their higher end printers?

Finnally, I wanted to comment on cloging. Welcome to the world of high end printing. People who think they can leave the printer in the closet for a few weeks or months at a time and not have it clog are fooling themselfs. Cleaning is easy and normal for this type of quality. So don't let it worry you!

Strengths: printed image quality, portability, card reader/USB, color viewer, low cost prints
Weaknesses: not lightening fast, can't print large prints
Summary: After having tried many different printers for printing photo, I finally bought a dedicated photo printer. I did plenty of research and decided on this printer. I finally got it right!! This is an excellent little printer. The print quality is top of the line and the cost is reasonable. I like that you can buy battery power (accessory) for this printer and literally take it anywhere and print. I know I listed two weaknesses but they are really not big points in my book---the speed is right there with most photo printers BUT with this printer you end up with much better quality. I don't have a high megapixel camera so the 4x6's this can print are just right for my everyday type use. I would highly recommend this printer!!

Strengths: compact, nice quality
Weaknesses: none for home use.
Summary: It's compact, portable, offers multiple functions, and produces outstanding pictures. The price per photo is quite cheap as per the luxury of printing the pictures while sitting at home. I highly recommend the PictureMate Deluxe!

Strengths: Easy, small footprint, great for quick printouts and small contact sheets
Weaknesses: None that I have found
Summary: I wanted a down and dirty printer to proof images that I shot with my digital camera. I didn't want to be bothered downloading the images into a computer, then editing them in photoshop and then printing them out. I wanted instant gratification.

The Picturemaker Deluxe Viewer was the solution. I could do a crop on the image. Print with borders. Print without borders. Print a contact sheet (small though it is). Print wallet size images. Print, print, print. All without having to get too involved. in the process: plug the printer in the wall, insert the memory card, make a few selections and start printing.

It's great for family events where you don't need to make prints larger than 4" x 6". Just what the family wants. And at about 30 cents an image, not expensive either! And you get them right away without dragging yourself to a shop to print them for you. Boom everybody goes home with images and they're all happy.

And the price for the printer was right: $180 with a rebate of $150 (winter 05) - part of it was for buying a Nikon camera and part of it was for buying a 3MG or higher digital camera. For $30, what's not to like.

Strengths: Prints directly from almost every memory card format. Doesn't need a computer for basic editing such as cropping and brightness. The optional battery means you don't even need an outlet.
Weaknesses: Needs to be attached to a computer to print in the highest-resolution mode.
Summary: For those looking for a dedicated photo printer, the Epson PictureMate Deluxe is one of the best options out there. Printing 4 x 6 borderless photos in a little over a 1.5 minutes, it takes instant gratification to a new level. Setup is easy, and the on-screen editing makes it easy to print great-looking photos right from a memory card. For the more technically inclined - or those with more time - one can do more advanced editing on a computer and print the photos from there. The printer accepts almost every style of memory card (but needs an adaptor for miniSD), and also doubles as a card reader to transfer the pictures onto a computer.

Strengths: Definitely worth it if you own a digital camera!!
Weaknesses: none
Summary: The quality of the prints from this printer would not match up to my HP Photosmart 7550. What a surprise - photos were superb. The colors were accurate and bright, came out of the printer dry to the touch and reasonably well.

Strengths: Great quality prints (beautiful), paper with ink packs makes it simple to buy, not excactly slooow but quality is worth waiting for, painlessly simple.
Weaknesses: Out of the box it only comes with a pack of 20 (paper and ink) to print what you have been dying to see.
Summary: Good product that does excactly what it says. The quality is great from my 5mp camera and it is super easy to use. The new ink technology is definetly what puts it above the rest! This is the best of the new small "portable" printers. I think Epson is trying to make this printer what the iPod is to music.

Strengths: portable, LCD display
Weaknesses: not a variety of sizes to print
Summary: This unit is excellent if you require portable printing. I bought it with the optional battery, and now can print from any location. It would be great if there were larger sizes to print, but such is life. The built-in LCD display is an absolute must unless you are always going to have a photo printer hooked to your computer. Even though the portable option may not be something you always use, those times when you do need it make it worthwhile.

Strengths: LCD screen, fast printing, brilliant colors.
Weaknesses: High cost paper and ink
Summary: If you want home printing, this is the one. Fast, reliable, exceptional quality. $249 worth it. However, the starter ink is only 20 prints. The new cartridge will only print 100 pictures. Printing pack is not cheap.

Strengths: Compact size, Great price, Photo lab quality prints
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is one great dedicated photo printer. The performance and speed of this printer has been boosted over 30% from previous models. Ink cartridges are relatively inexpensive to replace which brings the per print cost down to about 20 cents.

Strengths: Superb image quality, cheap ink/photo
Weaknesses: Slow
Summary: Overall this is a great photo printer. The quality is superb (better than other photo printers I have seen). The only flaws I can find with this sytem is that it is fairly slow and the images from your memory card take a while to appear clear on the LCD screen. However, these are only minor gripes about an otherwise superior printer.

Strengths: Easy to use. Good picutre quality.
Weaknesses: It prints a little slower then I thought.
Summary: I'm very impressed with the Epson photo printer. It's very easy to use and the picture quality is very good. I like the Disney borders that can be added, but it does use up more ink when doing the special borders. The black and ones picture option is also great! I would highly recommend this printer to others.

Strengths: small, portable, decent print quality, no need of computers,
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: I have both the regular version and the deluxe version. This version is one of the best portable photo printers. No need of computers to print photos and you can see the pictures in the screen that comes with the printer. I really like it. Go for it and you won't regret.

Strengths: Great picture quality, prints without computer, accepts most memory card formats, low cost prints, LCD display for cropping and color adjustment.
Weaknesses: Limited to 4" by 6" and smaller prints.
Summary: This is my first photo printer and I found it very easy to operate. I printed from my XD card and cropped pictures all without reading the manual. I printed 25 pictures during my first use. The colors were accurate and bright, came out of the printer dry to the touch. I love the low cost per print, availability and portability. I love the carrying handle. I love the picture quality and would recommend this printer to anyone with a digital camera.

Strengths: Photo Quality, Speedy and compact outlook
Weaknesses: None
Summary: It's a pretty good machine for printing photos for family. I brought it from Rizcamera and my families just like it. The quality is very good. And speed is fine for us. So far I have no complain about it.
