Strengths: Nice size, and reasonably light weight (5.x lbs), fairly zippy, easy to use right out of the box.
Weaknesses: Viewing angle varies display considerably, fan is not too quiet, a fair amount of bloatware is installed. Also, MS Office and McAfee Anti-Virus are just 60 day trials.
Summary: This is a nice laptop for basic uses; internet, word processing, watching movies. The display is nice and bright, although the angle can be a little sensitive. Machine came loaded with 2GB memory, which I immediately upgraded to 4GB DDR2, with excellent results. I haven't tried any real games on it yet to see how that works though, other than those preloaded. Battery life is a little over 2 hours. For the money I paid, I am very happy with this purchase.

Strengths: webcam 2g memory 120gb hard drive
Weaknesses: 14.1 lcd screen however for $400 i will get over that
Summary: Pretty good laptop. I am very satisfied with it. It has 2gb of memory, 120gb hard drive, wireless, webcam, mic, dvd dl burner. Much better than those useless Atom processor base laptops with the 2gb, 4gb, 8gb or 16gb solid state hard drive going for the same price.

1 Star ReviewPower Up Problems
Strengths: Light, keyboard lay out.
Weaknesses: Motherboard failure, glitches with mousepad.
Summary: I read a bunch of great reviews so I bought this laptop. Not more than twenty days after I got it the machine will not turn on. The power button will light up and the hard drive will spin a couple of times then it just shuts off. I investigatged online for others who might be having a similar problem and I was shocked to find so many others with the exact same problem in other Acer models as well. Apparently Acer has some major issues with all their motheboards, specifically, it appears to be the pins on the connectors for the memory cards lose connectivity. It's just poor quality. I would not recommend buying an Acer. They used to be good years ago but not any more. I have it packed up ready to return to Best Buy to get it fixed. I'm going to try to get an exchange for a differnt laptop first.
