Strengths: Easy to use. Easy to Program. Decent enough quality. Multiple recording formats.
Weaknesses: No hardware encoding
Summary: I've used this card for a number of years and even installed it in several computers. It really works quite well for how little it costs. It has a neat scheduling function that is based off of titantv.com that can record programs while you are away.
The remote control works via infrared which is okay but needs to have the receiver posted up somewhere that the
remote will be in sight when pushing buttons. It isn't
the best design but I'm happy enough with it.
You can also hook up just about anything to your computer:
playstations, vcrs, dvd players, video cameras, etc. So that you can either play/watch/or record from them on your computer. This function is quite neat!
This is definately not the best card on the market so don't complain if it is not just amazingly perfect -- it won't be.
It is however nothing to start complaining about if you want to turn your tv into a computer and are not a hardcore computer person. The "nice" cards are a lot more expensive for the hardware encoding.
Overall, for the price of the card, you CANNOT be dissapointed. This is worth putting in every computer and buying a nice LCD instead of spending money on a TV.

Cheap and good
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: CD is a piece of junk
Summary: Easy installation. TV video quality is good. What more can I ask for $8.00. CD was useless, discard it. I suggest you download the driver and application from leadtek.com. Remote has good features. I would definetely recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay too much to watch TV on their PC.

good one
Strengths: smooth installation; decent video recorder
Weaknesses: lack of documentation; remote control is not sensitive
Summary: I am using Windows 2000 sp4. Following the instruction from Leadtek website, I installed this card smoothly. Hook up the audio cable is easy, too. After connecting TV cable, I got all the usual channels. However, when I use an antenna, I can't get the local channel which I can get through a normal TV. Bottem line: with the cheap price after rebate, it worths the money if you want to watch TV from your computer monitor.

Strengths: Picture quality is OK. Remote control. Cheap price. PIP.
Weaknesses: Poor manual. Audio hook up prosedure is not explaned clear enough.
Summary: All in all this card is very good. I used it today and found it very useful. The only concern is no hardware encoding so do not overload the CPU in order to have desired quality.

Strengths: Good picture, easy installation
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: I just installed this tv card today and I have to say the picture is beautiful, especially because I am only using it with an antenna for now. Installation was easy and straightforward. It has picture in picture, which is nice so that you can work in other apps while watching tv. I heard other people had problems installing the drivers, but I didn't have any. I have WindowsXP Pro.

Strengths: Easy setup, just follow instructions and your up and running within 10 minutes.
Compatable with TitanTV, an online TV guide.
Record shows in multiple formats (AVI, MPEG, etc.)
Weaknesses: Features such as the PVR function aren't as straight
Summary: I had no problems setting up the product, plug it into an unused PCI port, install the drivers, and plug in your media source (coax, Svid, RCA video).
I paid under Thirty bucks for this product and would buy it again for around Thirty bucks.

Good value for basic tuner
Strengths: value for price paid; remote control functions; decent integration with TitanTV.com for PVR features
Weaknesses: no hardware based encoding/decoding; recording takes a lot of processor effort; audio hookup can be problematic; poor documentation
Summary: This tuner card is a decent solution for those desiring a basic tuner function on their PCs. I had some difficulty hooking up the sound--I had to obtain another audio cable to fit the input on my sound card. It would be great to have hardware encoding/decoding, but for the low price, that can't be expected. Installation instructions and other documentation could be clearer and more comprehensive.

Strengths: Straight-forward install and good picture quality for the price.
Weaknesses: Manual is not very helpful.
Summary: I needed an inexpensive way to watch TV in a crowded dorm room. Being able to use the computer for TV really helped to save much needed space. It's easy to use and the picture quality is much better than expected.

Decent Card
Strengths: Low Cost
Weaknesses: No Hardware Encoder
Summary: I have not fully tested this TV card yet, but expect it will be adequate for basic TV viewing on my PC. I recently ordered this product from Newegg since it had a rebate worth two thirds off the retail price, so I figured there was not much of a risk.

Strengths: Fine quality picture and audio. Easy to set up.
Weaknesses: There are not enough options and functions in the menus for the software included. Maybe, a little too simplistic.
Summary: I just use this to watch TV on my computer and it is working just fine. The installation was reasonably straightforward and intuitive. I guess this is fairly low-end TV Tuner, but it is doing everything I need it to do. No complaints.

Strengths: Easy setup, Good picture quality, low cost.
Low (10%)CPU usage when watching Tv, higher when recording
Weaknesses: Software encoder so you need a highcpu computer for recording high quality mpeg2 videos
Summary: This is a great card for the price. I installed as a second tuner along with a wintv-go card(also software encoder) and am using them with Beyond TV3 for a homemade PVR and they work together with no problems. The remote is decent. Pretty basic, but good enough for just basic usage. So far I've been extremely pleased. Definitely worth it for the price!

Strengths: Remote included, great (and useful) updates!
Weaknesses: The packed software has a small learning curve. Using the packaged installer didn't work so I used the default installer on Windows XP. - Later I found an updated version of this file online.
Summary: This is just the deal that I've been waiting for. - Since my friend has been using this card for years now I know it will last me a long time as well. Allowing me to burn VHS-to-DVD using the video input feature to save video files on my PC. From there I can burn them to DVD and cherish the memories forever. The remote and other bundled accessories will certainly come in handy. The only somewhat bad thing about this product is that the software included could use a few improvements. No worries, this is a great product and I am certainly not passing up this deal.

Get your bang for you buck
Strengths: price, very cheap for this type of tuner.
Weaknesses: quality not all so great, and burning stuff onto dvd's is quite a pain.
Summary: The installation from the CD might not work properly, so I suggest downloading the drivers online instead. Once installed the tuner worked quite well and was quite satisfied...end quote

Good all around low end TV tuner card
Strengths: Good picture, great price, remote is useful.
Weaknesses: Setup is a little weird. Windows will try to install wrong drivers. Cant screw it in to your case.
Summary: You cant screw in the card. If you do, when you turn it off, your computer will crashes. I didn't believe that was the issue when i read it on a forum, but i took out the screw and reseated it, works like a charm. The car is just a little to big for the slot.

Strengths: Channel surf and ease of use
Weaknesses: some stations come in grainy
Summary: Easy setup after downloading the driver and knowing beforehand that you have to connect the sound from the card to the motherboard, it came up right away. Picture quality is just O.K. I find I have to adjust the contrast and brightness depending on what channel I am watching. At full screen, I get some stations come in grainy. Personally have no real use for the remote at this time. Overall a good value for 15.00 AR if you get it. You can be up and running watching TV from your PC in under an hour. Channel surf and ease of use features is nice.
