Summary: Overall, I am happy I went with the Littman (3M) Cardio III. It has helped me through my first year at medical school.

I've converted it to a traditional bell and have used it numerous times while visiting patients. The Cardio III has superb sound production and allows my untrained ear to pick up abnormalities quicker. There's a night and day difference between a "freebie" stethoscope compared to this one.

Great purchase--I'd buy this one again if I ever need a new one.
