Strengths: 4 GB of RAM makes it really fast, enough hard drive for programs/photos, Toshiba quality
Weaknesses: Fingerprints show up easily on keys & cover, reception on radio tuner is so so
Summary: I purchased this laptop to replace a previous Toshiba laptop because of Toshiba's quality when it comes to laptops. I've owned 3 Toshiba laptops previously and the all lasted a long time with no issues.
I've had this laptop for 3 weeks and so far there have been no issues other than one of the arrow buttons popping off (my fault). Happily, it just snapped back on and is working fine.
I got this model for the 4GB of RAM since I knew it'd be delivered with the Windows Vista operating system. My past experiences with Vista were poor--- slow computer speed, taking too long to boot up, etc. I am happy to say that the extra RAM you get with this computer makes it enjoyable to use Vista with no problems at all.
The 320 GB hard drive in came in handy since I installed Microsoft Office 2007 Professional which is huge and because I store a lot of digital photos on my laptop.
The black/dark gray finish is pretty cool looking but it does show fingerprints more due to its shiney appearance. My old toshiba with the silver finish showed no fingerprints.
Overall, I give this laptop high marks and highly recommend it!
