Strengths: HDCP, 1080i, MVA if you're lucky, Great looking image
Weaknesses: Artifacts on 1080i, very high power consumption (75w).
Summary: I bought one of these only because it was cheap and had 2ms. The image looked very nice in every way, except the view angle was about the worst I'd seen. Also, there was one bad pixel which had a dark halo around it. For tv, it was not noticable. But when using 1080i, there were weird horizontal lines to the far right of the screen - many of them. Though you don't see them at a distance, I returned the unit for a replacent. The replacement has the same annoying lines, but shock of shocks, the view angle seems to be a full 180 degrees. It looks great from any angle. I've come to learn Soyo used MVA lcd screens in a few units - and I got lucky. The downside to the mva, is they only support 6ms refresh, not 2ms as advertised on the box. Given I use this display with a cable box, for hdtv, the view angle is most important, and the images look excellent.
Also bear in mind, many lcd's don't support 1080i - if they are computer displays. This unit does, and it scales 720p full size automatically. Also, switching from dvi to vga is easy, unlike acer lcd's which take about 7 button presses to do it.
Soyo is a value line lcd maker, and if you were going to buy this at a phenomenal price, even if you got a regular TN lcd panel inside, it looks great. I'd be satisfied either way. (Paid $220).
