Strengths: fast (with startup and general performance), doesn't crash often like a pc does, slick design, simple to use, no viruses, good quality sound and graphics, good price
Weaknesses: fan spins loudly with intensive applications, white plastic exterior becomes discolored grey with use, can get warm (but all laptops do, so thats not a surprise)
Summary: I got my mac about 5 months ago and I have used it regularly since. I am extremely satisfied with the performance I recieved for the price. So far, I had only to reboot it 3 times since I first purchased it! The mac leopard interface has so many cool and useful features, and combined with ease of use, i am convinced that it is the best Operating system to date. I love the speed, the flexibility (macs can open/run almost any pc created file), and efficiency (rarely crashes and quick response).
The only two complaints that I have with it is its fan (spins loudly yet mac still gets fairly warm. not comfortable to put on lap for extended periods) and the white plastic exterior. It was beautifully white when i first got it, but after a couple of weeks, I noticed that the keypads and palm rests were getting greyish.
I used to be a pc user, but now that i have been using macs for school (i am a student) I have to say, hands down, Macs are the best! And the macbook is no exception!
