1 Star ReviewBig price doesn't always bring big value
Strengths: This unit is quiet and large inside.
Weaknesses: The racks are not easy to load with all types of dishes. Heavy plates do not want to stand up and shaped bowls do not fit in well. Loading is a real problem.
Summary: My LG is less than 6 months old and is leaking through the door. Repair persons do not really know what to do with this unit. I have had 3 GE dishwashers previously and never had a service call. This overly priced unit has been a big disappointment and is definitely NOT worth the extra cost.

1 Star ReviewNever again
Strengths: Very quiet. Holds large bowls. Beautiful stainless front.
Weaknesses: Leaves dishes wet despite activation of drying cycle. Every day dishes don't sit in racks well. Wash job is below average.
Summary: This expensive dishwasher should cost less than lowest priced models. It does a poor job of washing and drying. I spoke to the factory. They said it is functioning as it should be expected to because it has a stainless interior. I hope "hogwash" is not language too offensive.

1 Star ReviewPoor Cleaning and Awful Odors
Strengths: Quiet, attractive, external cycle indicator, versatile racks
Weaknesses: Poor cleaning performance and bad odors when shut, top rack grids don't support glasses very well. Bottom rack routinely slips off rolling track. Stainless front is a bear to clean.
Summary: What a disappointment. Decided to splurge on a top-end machine to replace a 15 year old noisy - but effective - GE box. Never has cleaned well, no matter which program we run or how carefully we load it. We pretty much have to clean the dishes before loading them. But it's the odor that ices this poor review. This thing is a real petri dish! Any excess water on loaded dishes results in a foul odor within a day. I've removed and cleaned the drain screen, grinding mechanism and pump impeller, finding nothing causal. There's got to be a pocket of sludge somewhere in the system that is harboring funky bacteria. Between the need to re-wash and the frequent cycles to stave off the odor, this machine is hardly efficient.

Strengths: quiet upper- AND lower-rack-only options display that showed time remaining w/o having to open door much greater capacity than Bosch models cleaned dishes brilliantly
Weaknesses: clips that hold rack tines prone to breakage did have the occasional funky smell
Summary: Bought mine (in black) used for $50. Ran it for a few months to made sure it worked well, then ordered $125 stainless panel from LG. Voila! Instant beautiful dishwasher for under $200.

Significantly larger inside than my old Bosch dishwasher, quieter too. Many loading options. Easy to lift/lower the upper rack.

Cleaned dishes beautifully. Yes, drying wasn't stellar, but that's the condenser drying system for you (Bosch machines have the same problem). I got in the habit of tapping plastic dishes in the sink after the machine was done & putting them back in--the residual heat in the machine most of the time finished the job.

Occasionally had a little water below the machine, but was very infrequent. A bad odor was occasionally an issue, resolved by leaving the door slightly ajar to let any residual water evaporate.

Sold my condo with this machine--wish I hadn't!
