Strengths: economical, simple to install, perfect for 5.1 speakers especially for those who want to upgrade their laptop sound system.
Weaknesses: have not encountered one yet
Summary: SIIG USB SOUNDWAVE 5.1 Pro. Installation was a snap. I plugged the USB cable into the USB port of my Compaq TC1000 docking station and the color-coded sockets were perfect for the 3 connectors of my Altec Lansing ALC VS3151 5.1 Speakers. While I'm not an audiophile, I feel that the sound quality of the SIIG - Altec Lansing combo is excellent (very clean) especially if one considers how much I spent for these add-ons ($36 for the SIIG + $60 for the Altec-Lansing).
