Strengths: Value, capability, sound quality
Weaknesses: Cheap plastic base, no speaker inputs, controls and port in front (instead of hidden in the back)
Summary: If you are looking for a subwoofer to extend the range of your small speakers, this is the one. (If you want house shaking bass for your home theater this is not for you.) I have a pair of inexpensive Polk speakers and of course they lack bass. With this subwoofer, the clear mid and treble from the Polks is filled out into a full range sound. What makes this subwoofer really awesome is the capability it has to match your existing speakers. You can adjust the volume, frequency output and phase. If you are trying to match existing speakers those adjustments are key. And although the plastic base is cheap feeling, it looks fine sitting on the floor. I wish they put the controls and port on the back but those are small complaints. (And speaker inputs would be good.) It sounds great and you cannot beat the sound you get for the price you pay! I am thinking about buying another...
