It isn't really meant to give you curls like from a chemical perm if your hair is straight as a pin. That would usually need an actual perm treatment. But I have long thick curly hair, my curls can get a bit limp in the drier months. I just shampoo with this (and not follow with any conditioner as it weighs it down) put some curl defining mousse through it while damp and dry with a diffuser and voila! Bouncy curls once again! I would recommend this product for people that DO have natural curls that want a little control of them. but NOT recommend it for people that think it will give straight hair natural looking curls.
