 5PK DVD+RW Media 4X 4.7GB with Standard Jewel Boxes. Strengths: Rewritable
Weaknesses: Doesn't work
Summary: I have tried all five of these disks. Not one success with my Backpack DVD writer. I have tried to burn DVDs from my Photodex and Broderbund software, but every time the DVD kicks out before completion.

Strengths: Cheap price, good quality
Weaknesses: Not much, slow speed?
Summary: I got a great deal on these DVD+RW's from Buy.com so I decided to try them out. I have just purchased a new DVD recorder (Cyberhome 1600) and had tried out Memorex DVD+R's but wanted RW's. These seemed to work just fine. I don't know what the long-term quality will be like or if they will be able to be played in other DVD players (will test this out in the future), but for the price I paid, I figured I couldn't go wrong.

Strengths: Solid brand name, reputation for quality
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I have had problems with Fuji DVD+RW discs in the past, but so far I have not encountered any problems with Memorex DVD+RW. I have been using Memorex DVD products for several months now and have yet to run into significant problems. Am using a Sony DRU-530A burner with 2.1g firmware version. Everything running smoothly but had some trouble using Ulead DVD Moviefactory 4 with these media. However, I had problems with Fuji media as well, leading me to believe it's a software-hardware problem rather than a media problem. Would recommend Memorex to anyone looking for quality and reliability.

Strengths: rewritable, cheap
Weaknesses: only 4x
Summary: if these are cheap, i recommend people to pick it up. i got a pack for $1 so it was worth it. bought these so i could use it over and over and don't have to throw away like non-rewritable dvds. only thing i didn't like about it is that its only 4x. it takes a while to finish burning a full disk.

Strengths: Good quality dvd, no issues with recording
Weaknesses: none experienced (more expensive than VHS)
Summary: Started out getting a trial pack of 5 disks, and so far haven't encountered any problems. The next time I will probably buy the 25 pack without the jewel cases (the 10 packs seem to be a high cost-per-dvd). Haven't tried recording on them 1000 times yet, but so far so good.

Strengths: Very reliable, no errors, reasonable price

Summary: I've used three of the DVD+RW's so far to back up my data and have had no problems in writing or erasing the data. I also use a Memorex DVD writer so I guess they are made for each other. I'm sure they will work well with other DVD writers.

Strengths: Easy to use. No problems in burning. Runs great on my DVD player attached to TV. Packaging is good, comes with Jewel Cases.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: The Memorex +RW DVDs work perfect for me. I use them to create slide shows and when I have a version I like, I burn it onto a CD-R and then reuse the DVD for another project. I also use the +RW DVD disks in managing my pictures and data. It's easy to add and replace the data stored. I have a Plextor PX-712A burner and a Philips DVP642 Player.

Summary: 2004-11-09 22:22:20 Compare to most popular DVD+RW medias on the market I found these Memorex disks are equal if not better in performance. I have used all five disks several times write and re-write again and again with no problem. I recommend to everyone to try them.

Summary: This is a great brand name media that burns at high (4x) speed for DVD+RW speeds and works as expected, every single time. Also works in some DVD players as well. Works with all dvd drives. Highly Recommended.

Strengths: Very good disk. Always gives a true burn.

Summary: I have used the Memorex DVD+RW disk for doing backup of entire hard drives with great results. With a capacity of 4.7GB it is easy to capture the whole drive. They work great for holding tech files to be used in the field and drive transfers.

Summary: I have used this media to make numerous DVDs. I have not encountered a coaster yet or failed writing attempt. I use an HP Athlon 1.33mhz with 384mb. I highly recommended this media. Pricegrabber.com pricing makes deal sweet.
