Strengths: 45nm, .5x multiplier, overclocking
Weaknesses: overclocking to 4 GHz on air
Summary: what can i say that's not already been said about the E8500. Between the 3 = e8400, e8500, and e8600 - the e8500 is best bang for the buck. it ran at 34 C for 8 hours of online game play, of course with a sunbeam core contact heatsink. it overclock nicely to 3.6 GHz without messing with any bios setting. ran most of my fps and mmorpg nicely. only have this cpu for 2 months and overclocking to 4 GHz on air isn't as "easy" as other reviews make it seem to be. i'm using a gigabyte ep45-ds3r mobo and ddr800, i'm only topping at around 3.83 GHz before it becomes unstable. but this could be my ram, which i will play with more. all in all a very good chip.
