Strengths: Build quality (magnesium casing) Blu-Ray Player Dedicated graphics card (8400 GT) HDMI output
Weaknesses: 2G RAM is a little less 1.66 GHz CPU is all right but not too impressive
Summary: Build quality is very good. The casing is in metallic magnesium in stead of cheap plastic like many other brands.

Blu-Ray ROM and the HDMI output is a big plus to my HDTV.

I upgraded the memory to 3G to make the Vista system running smoothly.

This laptop also takes SD media card besides of Sony's memory stick. This makes more sense to me since all of my digital cameras uses SD media format.

Overall, I like this laptop and would strongly recommend it to my friends!

Strengths: the multimedia features including the built-in bluray player and camera make this a great media pc. it's the perfect pc for my girlfriend, who mostly surfs the web and watches videos
Weaknesses: the slow processor, and preinstalled crapware programs really slows this computer down
Summary: This Vaio is sturdy. I've been a life long thinkpad buyer, but my last two (under the lenovo brand) kept crashing. This Vaio seemed like a perfect fit as a second computer and for my girlfriend's use. Sony always uses top quality components, and this laptop is no different. I'm pleasantly surprised with this sleek, and sexy laptop.
