Strengths: Nice screen, discrete volume button, wireless N
Weaknesses: Vista, LCD viewing angle not the greatest, keep hitting "Caps" button when trying to hit "A" button.
Summary: I am pretty happy with this computer and would purchase it again. It has a nice screen, although the viewing angle is not that great so the picture gets washed out when viewed from the sides. If you aren't planning on sharing it with someone next to you, this isn't a problem. The speed of the computer is pretty fast but since it uses Vista, it isn't as fast as it would be with XP. There are times I find myself waiting, where I don't have to when doing the same thing on my lower spec desktop using XP. I have watched videos from YouTube and Netflix with little or no pausing, lagging, or stuttering. An important feature is that it includes wireless N. I use it mainly to connect to the internet and although wireless B and G have the necessary bandwidth, they don't have the range that wireless N has. With this computer, I can go anywhere in my house and connect at 5 bars to my wireless N router. I couldn't do this using wireless G. Another feature I really like is the discrete media buttons. You can instantly adjust the volume at the touch of a button instead of having to do it with your mouse. This comes in very handy when switching between playing a game, watching a video, listening to an internet radio station, or viewing a DVD. One thing I don't like is the spacing between the "Caps Lock" key and the "A" key. Not sure if all laptops are this way but I am constantly hitting the "Caps Lock" key when I mean to hit the "A" key. On my desktop keyboard, the spacing between the "Caps Lock" and "A" keys is about double that of other keys. There must be a reason for this and wonder why Sony didn't incorporate this in the design.
