Strengths: Small form factor, ease of use
Weaknesses: no direct input on unit (must use remote for direct), no "dock" (must hook up antenna and power). Only one display size.
Summary: This is my 4th SIRIUS radio. I gave the Kenwood to a family member (see my review of that). I bought this radio exclusively for my car. I also have the Directed Electronics Sportster. The Sportster has a better display (more lines and auto-sizes to fit information. It also has direct input to punch in the channel on the unit. This Starmate has neither feature. The small form factor mounts nicely in my car though. All cables must be disconnected to move the unit (versus a dock set-up). If this unit had a direct input on the the unit itself, I'd give it 5 stars. I recommend this unit, but the Sportster has a little bit better user interface.

Strengths: Very small, slick design, fits anywhere perfectly, bright and clear display, nice remote.
Weaknesses: I would prefer the channel switch be on the left (since the driver uses the most).
Summary: I owned previously a JVC radio witch was bulky and tall this one has all the things I would have liked on the JVC.

First this thing is very small and super light. It's not on your way and on my Jeep Liberty It does not interfiere with my view of the windshield.

Setup was very simple and it works great with my FM tuner.

The screen is very bright so even though is small it's very clear and you don't miss any words.

The remote works great and has the perfect size.

Strengths: Good sound qaulity. Big 3-line display, easy to use, compact.
Weaknesses: Antenna needs to be placed outside the car. Small buttons. Mounting device is big and ackward.
Summary: This compact unit has an easy to read big 3-line diplay. Comes with a big windshield mounting suction cup and plenty of wiring. However, since the unit is not connected directly to the vehicle you're basically getting an FM signal. Would recommend for it's convenience and ease-of-use.

Strengths: compact, easy to read and love the remote
Weaknesses: mount and lighter plug-in
Summary: A pro installed my Starmate on my car's dash and elimated the clumsy mount and connected it to my radio elimating lighter plug-in. This cost $30 well spent bucks.
