Strengths: Quality Repairs Good Customer Service
Weaknesses: Having to pay for shipping BOTH ways.
Summary: The Mack warranty comes at a reasonable cost, and in a way gives you some peace of mind in case your camcorder fails down the road.

I've used them before, and they pretty much live up to their promises. In case they can't fix it they even send it to the manufacturer. (so you get basically the same service as you would get sending it at the manufacturers 250$ on average flat fee!)

The turnaround is good and the people at customer service are very friendly.

The process for registering your warranty on-line is easy and a straight forward process.

The only minus is that you have to pay for shipping to and from the repair facility, but it's a fairly small fee...

I recommend the Mack Warranty, based on my experience with them :o)

Strengths: Good service. Good value. Quality repairs.
Weaknesses: The fact that you have to pay for the shipping... both ways that is.
Summary: I had experience with mack in the past, and the warranty is really worth it!

The only disadvantage is that you have to pay for the shipping both ways. And if you have to mail your equipment a few times, that could run up the bill. However in my experience, everything was fixed the first time and there were further no more problems. Everything came back in good shape!! (Which is important to me because I take good care of things, and like to have them returned the same way)

I would say that the warranty is a really good value, and buys you peace of mind, at a minimal expense. It's good to know "if" you camera breaks after a year, that you won't be in for a costly surprise. ( Or in some cases even replacement)

Anyway, on someting like a videocamera, it's a very good idea to have an exended service warranty. And with Mack I think you're in good hands!

    Product Experience:
    1 Months
Strengths: Price, The covered parts
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is my second camcorder that I have had a mack warranty on. We also have them on our work digital cameras. The price from the vendor was excellent. I would have paid much more for four years of service from other warranty companies and from vendors selling this same mack warranty. This is really a good warranty and covers the major items on your camcorders.
