2 Star Review"wireless now pennyless"
Strengths: great sound at times
Weaknesses: hissing and static.very, very short range
Summary: way to much 'hissing and static'for most of the time.must turn up volume loud to overcome this noise.there is only a very narrow window to receive good sound(very narrow).if outside-forget it.i did purchase(2)units and both have the same problems.too bad,i thought these where one of the better units on the market-but not to be.

Strengths: Superb sound guality. Good Reach. Great when you want to relax and listen to music, the noise from outside is almost completely blocked. I couldn't even hear my cellphone ringing infront me..
Weaknesses: due to the soundproof desing skin moisture rises around the ear, and for me constant use has cause abrasion behind the ear a few times. The top price is kinda... meh.
Summary: Best headphones I've ran into so far.

If used with a computer: With the right software the sound quality can almost be compared to surround sound speaker set with a subwoofer.

Exept the neighbours won't come complaining.

Strengths: Excellent sound quality, for the most part. Very confortable. Base antenna acts as a charger.
Weaknesses: Depending on surroundings, there can be interference.
Summary: I really like these headphones, overall. When there is no interference, the sound quality is excellent. They sound every bit as good as my wired Sennheiser headphones.

However, depending on the surroundings you may have interference. I've found that the most interference occurs in closed off areas, such as a small room or a basement. If you use these "in space" the amount of noise is minimal. These headphones work on the 900mhz frequency band, so they won't interference with 2.4ghz wireless networks or 5.8ghz phones. If you have any 900mhz phones, I'd get rid of them before getting these. I have one 900mhz phone at home - whenever it's on, the headphones are unusable.

Charging the headphones are easy - the base unit/antenna acts as a dock. I'm not sure what the battery life is, because I've never used the headphones for more than 1 1/2 hours before setting them back on the base unit.

Overall, recommended. Be aware that you might have to deal with some noise.

Strengths: Excellent sound quality. Can wear them throughout the whole house (walls and all) and still hear perfectly. Very good controls for volume, balance, channel. Easy to use.
Weaknesses: User manual does not tell you what the extra adapter plugs are for. Use them if the device your plugging into has a headset jack.
Summary: These headphones are very expensive compared to others I've looked at. However, once you take them out of the box, you know why. The transmitter looks great and works even better. Once I realized the that the plug adapter they included was for use with products that had a headset jack, I just plugged in and everything worked. The sound quality was terrific! I wanted to hid the transmitter behind my home theatre system, but was afraid the signal wouldn't get through. Not only did it get through, but I then proceeded to walk throughout the house (3 floors) without losing the signal. You won't get this performance from the $49 brand. The headset is very comfortable, and all the controls are right there and work perfectly. If you want a product that is overpriced, and worth every penny, buythis one!!

Strengths: Great performance and easy setup!!
Weaknesses: I haven't found one yet.
Summary: Technically I selected the Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones because of the quoted features and the review by “astirpe” from NY. I am very disposed to return items that do not perform as claimed. So far no one will get these headphones away from me!! I have hearing problems. Only one hearing ear and that with reduced high frequency capability. My biggest problem is understanding TV with the mix of voices and the lousy background noises they throw in these days. I’ve tried many expensive hearing aids, and lesser varieties, and a lot of headphones including “TV Ears”. None of these worked as well for me as these headphones. I’ve only used them for about five hours but I can tell how a hearing device works in about 15 minutes.

The reception through walls in a large spread out house is also great.

Strengths: Lightweight, Great Sound Quality and Awesome Range.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: These headphones are great, I got a great price on them too, $139 including shipping from comp-u-plus. My wife had bought me some of the sharper image wireless headphones for Christmas. However, I went directly to the internet reviews on those headphones and everyone said they were lousy, so back they went.

After researching the RS140's, I realized what I should have already known from using my PX-100 Sennheiser portable headphones, which are for my MP3 player, they sound awesome, and so do these Sennheiser RS140's.

Stick to the quality German Engineering and you'll get a quality product.

Strengths: comfort, sound quality, convenience, holds charge well
Weaknesses: balance control is easy to accidentally hit without realizing
Summary: I bought these mainly for exercise. I was tired of turning the tv way up and still having difficulty hearing while riding a stationary bike. I read all the reviews before purchasing and totally agree that they are awesome!

The sound quality is great and love that I can actually hear background noises that I would normally miss with the TV speakers.

For whatever reason, mine had to be plugged into the mono side of my 36" LCD tv. When plugged into the other input, it was terrible - not sure why that is, and the manual for the headphones did not mention it.

I also use these when my husband is sleeping. They hold a charge very well. I often leave them off the charger all night and they are still good to go for my morning workout.

I highly recommend these, so much so, that this is the first time I have bothered to write a review.

Strengths: Installation was a snap. Sound quality is outstanding. The auto-tuning is great.
Weaknesses: None that I have found todate.
Summary: Installation was a snap. Just plug in the left and right RCA audio plug, connect to power and charge the battories. Turn on the headset a few hours later, press the tune button and viola'... great sound. I replaced a Sennheiser T40 that I used for several years. I was quite satisfied with the unit until both of the ear pads broke off of the headset. Now, I'm happy that it broke. The RS140 "blows the doors" off of its predecessor.

Weaknesses: None that we can tell.

Strengths: Very, very comfortable earpads; Excellent controls, if you are not on your back; Superior sound and signal reception over advertised distance (100 m); Machinery motor interference unnoticed in real-world work situation
Weaknesses: Slight skin moisture problem when ambient temp above 75 degrees
Summary: After extensive information search on wireless 'cans' that would reduce ambient noise while using product for hours at a time, I began the foot slogging to various stores to try on the inexpensive wireless headphones ($35-$75). From strictly a fit perspective, none were comfortable; Most had felt-like earpad covers that could not hide their unyielding ear phone material.

Using online price comparators and reviews that expressed exhuberant satisfaction with the Sennheiser RS 140 and RS 130 Wireless Balanced Headphones, I decided to bite the bullet, skip the disappointment of going low price and go for what I felt would be the most satisfying purchase, the one that I could live and work with.

I've used these cans for two months and have absolutely NO misgivings. The sound is exemplary. The reception is remarkable in that I have no problems at work, where I scan tax forms for the state at this 560 image/min scanner in a huge room full of scanners, or at my other scanner job for an insurance firm in a building filled with work stations and tons of meaningless chatter: Definitely improved the signal/noise ratio.

Did I mention comfort? After charging the cans according to the instructions (16 hours), I put them on. Six hours later, I reluctantly removed them, mainly to see how long it would take to recharge the batteries. I'm as happy as a pig in poop.

Strengths: Very comfortable, easy to use, handy-dandy recharging system.
Weaknesses: "Floating" volume when the system adapts to changing input signal, hiss during silence and silent passages in music.
Summary: I've read a lot of exalted reviews on this model and decided to have one delivered w/o testing in shop. Strong was my disappointment. Sound quality is good: strong bass, clear high frequencies. The problem is the unit levels out input signal level. It's no problem as long as you listen to audiobook. But with music... - f.i. you listen to acoustic intro to a song at certain level of sound, and when you expect bass and drums to come in nail you to the ground the... sound is swallowed. :( That's kinda getting on my nerves every single time.

Strengths: Comfortable, Great Sound, Ease of use.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Headphones fit closely over ears blocking outside sound very well. Audio quality is excellent, equal to any wired phones in my collection. I use it mostly with Television and mp3 files from my computer but it works equally well when plugged into my Creative Zen player.

I highly reccomend this product and the seller from whom it was purchased.

3 Star ReviewAdequate not great.
Strengths: Improved construction over older models.
Weaknesses: Not very good sound quality and limited transmission range
Summary: I own an older model headset, the T60 and wanted an upgrade. The folks a Sennheiser assured me that the RS140 would give me much better sound and improved range. Neither is true. The construction on the RS140 is improved but that is all. My experience is that it has only fair sound quality and limited transmission range. It is adequate if you need a wireless headset but nothing more.

Strengths: Sound wave signal really good. It worked ever I was outside of my backyard.
Weaknesses: It has some static when I worked with my wireless internet in my notebook.
Summary: Over all I have no complaint about this headphone. I have done the research of all wirless headphones before I purchase this headphone. This is the one I get the most good reviews. I am glad that I make this purchase and I enjoy it so much!
