Strengths: Record steady, TV-quality QuickTime movies with "anti-shake" function, 5x optical Sport Zoom lens allows you to get close to the action without sacrificing picture quality. Weaknesses: No neck strap. The camera has only a wrist strap. No lens cap. Slow lens. Summary: The camera is very easy to use if you give a quick review to the advanced manual on the cd it comes with. The pictures are beautiful quality. The 5x optical zoom, combined with the 5.1mp resolution can make for some great enlargements. Other good features include a tripod adapter, time lapse photography, a variable brightness flash, low light focus assist lamp, audio/video out cable, great macro and super macro modes (allowing you to focus as close as 8cm), customizable presets, histogram overlays(to see what will be under/over exposed), and a delay timer so you can get yourself into the picture. 100% of People (6/6) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: xD card is expensive. Summary: My old digital camera was dead and I don't have too much money to buy a fancy one. This C-5500 is right for me. It does every job pretty well. It is a little bit heavy and bit but in return the zoom is very good. The best thing about this camera is it accept 1 GB xD card which mean a lot of pictures can be put on. Little bulky, but fine for me. Nice lens. I like the pictures from it. I am not a professional photographer but always got nice pictures. I blew some of them to 10 x 12 and still it was good. Easy to use and flash is good. Olympus has made a nice camera and it is cheaper than other 5MP with 4X/5X zoom cameras. If you get it for less than $150, go for it.
