Strengths: Nice appearance, crisp pictures, plays many DVD formats, very versatile for a sub $100 DVD/VCR
Weaknesses: small buttons on remote, setup directions could be better
Summary: This was a very good player for $90+ tax. I looked at many models and I'm sure that the $200-300 range and up players are worth more, but I'm happy with the quality and functionality of this one. It plays many DVD formats which I need as I receive both + and - DVD's from friends. The VCR is a good 4 head unit and gives a clear picture. I'll be buying another to send with my daughter to college.

Strengths: Excellent unit at a great price. Runs smoothly and quietly. Good picture on both the VCR and DVD. When TV viewed through the unit it displays the title of the show. Fast rewind. Easy to use.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: Bought this combo unit at Sam's Club for $79.77. Great unit with many features found on more expensive units. Good picture quality on the VCR and DVD. Can't beat the price for a combo unit.

Strengths: combo 2 players in one
Weaknesses: Case could be a little less bulky
Summary: The unit is perfect. It combines two players in on so I can save space and eliminate connections and excess wires. Because of less wires the signal has better clarity. Both unit perform great, just as I had hoped

Strengths: Price is reasonable, DVD/VCR in one, works through old TVs without RCA jacks
Weaknesses: Can't think of any
Summary: I wanted a DVD player and VCR that would work WITHOUT RCA jacks, as I am using a significantly old TV. That way, I wouldn't need to run an RF converter.

In fact, everything is working great using an RF connection, and the DVD picture is still very clear. VCR picture is also clear. I haven't had any problems with commercially made discs thus far or VHS tapes. I use it a few times a week.

Remote functions are clearly labeled, and there actually is a display on the front of the unit (unlike many bargain DVD players today.)

I don't have a DVD burner, so I can't comment on homemade discs.

Overall, seems to have been a very good buy.
