Strengths: Small compact design, Easy to install
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I purchased the active sub-woofer as an addition to my Sony AV receiver. It was easy to set the cut off frequency and volume settings. In my small room, the sound effects were great, but the windows shook each time there was lot of action on the screen. However this subwoofer might (80W) might not be sufficient for large media rooms and could be used as a rear sub-woofer. I recommend this item
