 I am now on camera number three of the same model. ... Strengths: Ease of use, straight forward operation. Beginner level at quality 5.0 mp output. Fair price.
Weaknesses: Battery life unacceptable.
Summary: I am now on camera number three of the same model. The camera has received an upgrade to supposedly correct a battery issue (quick drain when they actually aren't) but the problem still occurs with the two follow up camera's that were sent to me.
Power up with fresh charged nimh 1.5v batteries and I'm lucky to take four of five pictures before the screen flashes "batteries too low for live view". Shut the camera down, wait ten seconds and turn back on and VOILA!! batteries are at 100% I can repeat this process all day but this is not an acceptable method of photography if you ask me!
Customer service support tries to take me through the steps that I already have attempted by connecting to HP's web site. I just want to tell them to send me a camera that works, but I'm forced to suffer through a half hearted attempt by someone on the other end of the line reading from a script of possible solutions.
Unfortunately I have purchased all the extras that go along with the camera (lenses, docking station and printer), so I'm not about to ask for a refund and change models but I am considering selling the entire outfit on line and changing brands. In case you're listening HP.....THE CAMERA STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!
