Strengths: Stylistic appearance and sound
Weaknesses: Size
Summary: Size made installation difficult. Due to the stud distance in walls, I was forced to install vertically. Not my preferred method. Keeping the length less than 16 inches would give more flexibility. Once installed, the sound was good and the appearance although vertical was pleasing. I would definitely purchase other speakers like this for another home or room in my home.

Strengths: Nice Sound, Good Price, Fairly easy to install. The shape allows for vertical or horizontal placement in tight spots.
Weaknesses: Installation system is a little weak, and it can be somewhat difficult to get all wall clamps to engage properly. The wire connections have cheap plastic nuts.
Summary: I picked up 4 of these to use as front and surround speakers for a home audio/theater system I was installing in a remodeled room. These speakers are being updated to the IW960s and are getting harder to find, so you can get a good deal on them some places. I got mine for $49.95 each.

Installation was pretty straight forward. You just trace around the template which comes with double sided tape on the back and cut the holes. Be careful when removing the templates not to tear the paper on the sheetrock, or you could end up needing a paint job to fix the damage around the opening. It was important to get the opening exactly as large as the template or the speakers will not fit flush against the wall. The clamping system is a little hard to use, and you have to un-screw the clamp 1/2 turn before tightening or it will catch on the back and not tighten. I put fiberglass insulation around the speakers as per the instructions to improve the sound, but you must be sure it is out of the way of the clamps or they will not engage the wall (they don't tell you that in the instructions).

The sound is great. We have some very expensive Klipsch speakers in our basement entertainment center, and to be honest neither my wife or I can hear any difference between these and the more expensive Klipsch.

The speaker frames and grill can be painted, but look great out of the box.

Overall a very nice system.

Strengths: Sound, Installation
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I bought this speaker to go with my home theater system. The installation was very easy. My home was pre-wired for surround sound. So, all that was needed was to cut the hole and connect the wire. I coupled this center speaker with the Yahama NS-IW470WH 4 corner speakers and the Yahama YST-SW216 10" powered subwoofer. I then ran it all into the Yahama RX-V461 receiver. This system rocks! Forget going to the movies! The sound is outstanding.
