Strengths: plenty of sound of options for high end system, very customizable display, MP3 plus WMA!!! wow!! its just to advanced!!!
Weaknesses: none yet
Summary: at first i didnt like the white oel coz i was more used to the blue oel, but then i realize that the white oel is better than the old blue oels, even at bright daylight the display is crisp and clear. i lke its features, you dont need to buy a pc link to customize the oel display, all you need is to burn it on a cd and load it.., i like the features of SFEQ, you can set diffrent sound staging in just a press of a button.. i realy like it especially when listening outside of your car, on a push of a button, the sound will become bigger and brighter for outside listening.. subwoofers crossovers can be controlled separately from the rear speakers, and i love the high pass filter option for cut off of low sound from the front and rear speakers.. lots of features especially for high end systems.. lots of moving videos, background videos and background pictures than the old Blue OEL's, my friend who has a blue OEL cant believe it.. plus its WMA compatible, what else can i say!!!!!!!!

Strengths: read my review earlier...
Weaknesses: One weaknes I have found is that there is no instructions whats so ever how to get the new Display backgrounds into the headunit (tried everything but it keeps on giving me errors)
Summary: 2003-11-17 16:37:04 The program to make the backgrounds and videos for the Pioneer DEHP7500mp can be found here: www.pioneer.co.jp/car/... (you have to make the pictures, videos in that program to make them work on the in dash) so for instructions check out those pages...

Strengths: Too many to say, but don't take it from me go into a local retail store to check it out.
Weaknesses: The OEL is definately not blue nor is it a pink shade. Its more of a light gray and it uses shading for its high quality dot matrix display.
Summary: I haven't had this unit for long, but its definitely 300% better than my old unit (DEH-2400F). Although I was kind of disappointed that the OEL wasn't blue, it was such a minor thing. Overall the display is sharp and even with direct sunlight, you can still see the information displayed. A few minor notes include the customizable screen savers require you to use a CDR, and there are no exceptions (I attempted several times to you a CDRW but to my avail, it never worked!). Second, load up time for MP3's loaded onto a CDRW is painfully slow, almost 10 - 15 seconds after you pop it in, it finally plays. I haven't gotten around to loading MP3's onto a CDR to see if there is a difference, but for standard cd's, its a pop. The radio tuner is much stronger than the previous Pioneer tuner, but correct me if I am wrong, the DEH-2400F had SuperTunerIII and the 7500MP has the SuperTunerIIID. It has been a noticeable difference for me! Sound quality has also improved drastically! But no major complaints for the CHEAP PRICE!

This nonsense about the SuperTuner III-D (digital) ...
Strengths: AMP sounds decent enough.
Weaknesses: Where do I begin? Flimsy controls, poor display and settings that are confusing, Poor tuner.
Summary: This nonsense about the SuperTuner III-D (digital) having less distortion and better sound? What they forgot was that stations that have co-channel problems will be oversampled and sound twice as distorted than anything you've ever heard. Also comes with FM blending which is horrible (as a bonus). The AM seems to have poor filtering from power lines and ignition noise.
The CD player seems to be OK even on bumpy roads. You could have an accident trying to adjust the thing because the controls aren't intuitive. It's difficult to find a good stereo out there with a GOOD tuner, cause there just aren't any.

THE OEL IS A VERY UGLY BLACK & WHITE WITH A PINK T ...
Strengths: none
Weaknesses: all
Summary: THE OEL IS A VERY UGLY BLACK & WHITE WITH A PINK TINT!!! The box this comes in and the web sites including theirs show a nice blue OEL. I even exchanged it because I thought it was defective. After I get the thing in my car a second time the OEL is still not blue like on the box and is an ugly black and white with a pink tint. I told them I have the 2 boxes sitting right here and it is a definate blue. They avoid the situation insist that the box is not blue, and then decide to change the subject and talk about button color. No only does my stereo need to sound good but it better look the way it is supposed to. If this is their way of getting money out of people they are sadly mistaken, I will see that I get rembursed for my install and go with a different stereo since their was no other way of knowing how ugly this thing really is.

This unit could definitely be better. It's strengt ...
Strengths: 4 volt preamp outputs. Good HP/LP crossover options.
Weaknesses: Unacceptable random feature. CD spinning noise can be heard in the speakers. Long load time for MP3 disks.
Summary: This unit could definitely be better. It's strength are good radio reception, intuitive button controls, good sound quality, and rich crossover options to preamp outs. However, it's the little things that prevents this unit from a recommend buy. First, the random feature. It WONT let you press the fwd button to goto the next random song! It waits for a song to finish before going to the next random song. For MP3 disks with over 150 songs, there will definitely be times when people want to skip songs randomly. Also note that when you change the repeat modes, the random option will be turned off. That's totally ridiculous and annoying. Second, the CD spinning noise is passed to the speakers. I do have amps connected to this, but the noise should be filtered out. I didn't have CD spinning noises with my old cheap JVC s890. Third, seems when you turn the unit off and then on, it takes longer to resume the CD song. Again, my old cheap JVC didn't have this problem. For these reasons, I highly recommend staying away from this one.

Strengths: Strong pre-amp output voltage, ease of use and system functions
Weaknesses: Not one yet
Summary: I was stunned at the negative review on this site for the 7500,especially since this head set is on display at nearly every major retailer in the country and you can test it out before it's purchase, the colors are indeed blue and it was exactly what I expected. I went to 3 professional Stereo installers before purchase and all 3 highly recommended this head set for my $2000 system. If anything I would have upgraded to a 8300 or 9500. But for my budget I was very pleased, I was comparing with ALPINE and Kenwood before commiting to this unit. Highly recommended to all!
