Strengths: A lot of power, great radio and good audio inputs. Component video out.
Weaknesses: No video inputs at all. No digital inputs even for audio.
Summary: DVD player is a little noisy, but only when playing DVD's. CD and HI-Mat/WMA/MP3 playback is excllent, with no noise. The FM tuner is great, with 15 programmable channels, and the AM is the same way. I haven't tried hooking up a TV yet, because I'm saving up to get a plasma, but the component video out sounds promising. Also has a normal RCA video out port. I would recommend buying the SC-HT900 instead if you want to hook up to any digital inputs (I wanted to hook my laptop up with an Extigy, but I'm out of luck there for digital) and if you want to be able to buy a new subwoofer, don't buy this. The subwoofer contains most of the circuitry, and has a special cable that you can't change. Comes with VERY good speaker wire. The strong point of this is that you only have to plug the subwoofer in, but the downside is that the speaker wires run from the subwoofer, not the reciever.
