Strengths: Fast video recording with digital cameras.
Weaknesses: None that I've found so far
Summary: For the average user, I think this is an awesome card since I got mine for a bargain from buy.com for ~$37. Very fast speed in reading and writing. Bought mine for my Canon A610 camera. Tried to record video at 60 fps and found no lag in video. Also was able to use a low level format on this card using the camera. Very pleased with purchase.

Strengths: Extremely fast.
Weaknesses: None I've found.
Summary: This card will save video as fast as my camera can generate it, and allows me to click away with my Canon SD400 without any thought to the card slowing things up. Another bonus: my experience with Kingston rebates has been excellent. If you have a 5MP or higher camera, get this card; the SD400 can cram 393 full resolution shots onto this baby). 256, or even 512 for video, will not be enough.

Strengths: Fast speed.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: For a camera like a Canon Powershot S2, it needs a fast SD card for the camera to work well. The price and size of this card are perfect. It stores a whole lot of pictures. So far it works great! Great product.

Strengths: Fast enough, affordable
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Theoretically this card isn't as fast as cards rated at higher speeds (i.e. 80x, 133x, etc.), but 50x is sufficient for most devices out today. My Canon SD500 functions at the same speed with either this card or the Transcend 80x 1GB card.

Strengths: Fast transfer rates, well priced, reliable
Weaknesses: Not quite as fast as the Ultra II
Summary: The Elite Pro Series is Kingston's answer to the Sandisk Ultra II series. With 50X transfer rates (7.5 MB/sec), the Elite Pro is perfect for devices that can take advantage of high read/write speeds.
In real world testing, the 50X rated Elite Pro is a bit slower than the 66X rated Sandisk Ultra II. I've found the Elite Pro writes at aproximately 3-4 MB/sec, while the Ultra II is more like 5-6 MB/sec. However, the Elite Pro is often quite a bit cheaper than the Ultra II, and it is fast enough for most devices. I use mine in a Canon SD200 digital camera for taking high resolution videos, and it works perfectly for that.

Strengths: Works correctly and compatibly. Fast enough, especially for the price.
Weaknesses: None known.
Summary: This card is certainly worth the $40 after rebates that I paid for it, and it is more compatible (e.g., with different card readers) than a 1GB Lexar card that I have. I cannot verify its top speed because I think my card readers don't go that fast on Secure Digital!
One sample was a 726MB (762 million bytes) file, on an external USB2.0 reader. Copying the file to the card (writing) took 213 seconds, for a speed of 3.4MB/s. Copying the file from the card (reading) took 141 seconds, for a speed of 5.1MB/s. These speeds appeared slow to me until I performed a similar experiment on a Kingmax Platinum 512MB card. Lo and behold, it exhibited exactly the same read and write speeds, leading me to believe that both cards push the card reader itself to its maximum (for Secure Digital).
I tried an internal USB2.0 card reader on a newer computer. The Kingston Elite Pro showed a 3.7MB/s write speed and a 4.9MB/s read speed on that card reader.
The advertised 50x speed would be 7.5MB/s. The question is, What device can actually run at that speed with a Secure Digital card? Perhaps a high-end digital camera?

Strengths: Fast speed, large capacity for pictures
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I bought this card for my Canon SD400. It works great! I also have a 1GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card for another device and i've compared the two on my camera and have not experienced any difference in performance of photo taking or video recording. The Kingston SD card is a little cheaper than the Sandisk, so it is a great value.

Strengths: Fast, great warranty, good value, good brand
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I purchased this card to be used in various devices including a HP iPaq Pocket PC and a Lexar LDP-200 digital music player. So far it works great. I transfer files using my Dell 700m and it is mighty fast. I am quite pleased.

Strengths: Very fast
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Hi, I used this card successfully in three different brands of cameras, a Minolta, a Canon, and a Panasonic; the Elite Pro was about four to five times faster than my a plain old secure digital card (Viking). That'll be very helpful, especially with the 4 fps burst mode on the Panasonic. It probably would also work well with cameras that have a 30fps, 640x480 movie modes and with USB 2 card readers.

Strengths: Fast 50x speed.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Bought this card at a nice price after rebates and it works great on my SD400 camera. On the package its labeled as 50X. Not the fastest card out there but still plenty fast enough.

Strengths: fast, plenty of space to hold digital pix!
Weaknesses: none!
Summary: I already had the 512MB version of this card and decided to upgrade to 1G to hold more pictures (and video) on my Canon SD200. I can now hold up to 610 (fine quality) 3.2MP pictures on my SD200!

Strengths: + Great price
+ Good Quality
+ Quick Speed
Weaknesses: - None
Summary: I used this with my EX-S500 Casio Digital Camera and absolutely love it. 1gb is more than enough for stills and is also great for taking the occasional video. This memory card is quick and I've had no problems with it. Transfers onto my laptop through my SD reader has also proven to be simple and efficent.
Great memory card. Pick it up if you're looking for a great 1 gb SD card. You def. won't regret it.

Strengths: Works well
Weaknesses: Slower than the best products
Summary: Overall this is a good product. I would reccomend it for most applications except the fastest pda's, cameras, camcorders, etc. that can take advantage of faster speeds available in competitive products. The speed is reasonable, and I have had no problems with it. Definitely a reccomended item for most applications at a competitive price.
