Strengths: Great exercise, lots of fun
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I bought the DDRMAX2 for my daughter's birthday. She already had the first edition and loved it. This one is even better with more up-to-date songs. She and her friends have had hours of fun competing with each other for the highest score.

Strengths: Nicely upgraded graphics from DDR MAX, great songs, exercise and gaming done together well
Weaknesses: Need to buy the dance mat if you don't already own it
Summary: This is DDR MAX with some better looking graphics, more and better songs, all with the same dance fun that has always been the hallmark of a DDR game. Like the first one, it's a great way to have fun and exercise at once.

If you liked DDR MAX and already own the dance pad, pick this one up without question. If you don't own the pad, it's a $30-50 investment without owning it, above the cost of this game, so weigh that in before buying it. Might be worth tracking down a bundled copy of DDR MAX with the pad, though just getting the pad takes care of the need for it.

Strengths: Nice DDR game with a decent songs collection.
Weaknesses: No eyetoy feature game.
Summary: I have played all the DDR games for PS2. DDRMAX2 has great improvement in terms of song collection to DDRMAX. You can choose to play single, versus, or double mode (same as all the DDR games). Graphics are better than DDRMAX, but not as good as DDR Extreme. If you want to choose a DDR game in the current market, I highly recommand DDR Extreme. If you really like this kind of music game and try other great songs, go get DDRMAX2! (No need to buy DDRMAX though, songs are not that good.)

Strengths: Great graphics, excellent song choices, much better than #1!
Weaknesses: Some songs are too slow or don't fit the rhythm of the steps chosen. More songs would be great!
Summary: Overal, this is a vast improvement over the first installment. DDR is a great game to play and a wonderful workout for anyone who wouldn't mind playing and exercising at the same time. Can't wait to see #3!

Strengths: great music, easy to use
Weaknesses: can't think of any
Summary: lots of fun to use; good exercise; good music and entertaining music videos; hook up to the television is simple; like the way it goes from easy to more challenging

Strengths: Fun gameplay, great for parties
Weaknesses: Need a couple of dancemats to fully enjoy it
Summary: DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution does a great job of bringing the fun of the arcade game to the console. I'm not a Dance Dance Revolution aficionado, so I don't really know the difference between this version and the others, but all I know is that this game is a lot of fun. The songs are up-beat and the gameplay is fun for a variety of ages. I highly suggest picking up at least two dance mats for this game as it is not nearly as fun with the normal controller. This is a great multiplayer game that is perfect for parties or for when you just need a good workout.

Strengths: + Great soundtrack + Same great DDR gameplay
Weaknesses: - Not many new modes when compared with DDR Max 1 - Isn't going to make you change your mind about DDR if you already dislike it
Summary: 2005-08-12 12:27:35 DDRMax 2 for the PS2 is the second of three installments of Dance Dance Revolution on the PS2, and it's just as solid as the other two. It doesn't add much to DDRMax 1, besides the obvious soundtrack change and that sort of thing. Speaking of the soundtrack, it's great just as the previous DDRs have been as well. Dancing to this game is as fun as ever, and workout mode really helps with exercising.

This game may not have all the new modes that it's newer cousin, DDR Extreme (like Eyetoy support and such), but it has all the main modes that have made this series fun. So if you can find this game used and for cheap, I would DEFINITELY suggest picking it up if you are a DDR fan.

Strengths: best ddr ever
Weaknesses: nothing
Summary: this is my favorite dance dance revolution game ever. The game has great songs like D2r, end of the century, and many more. The game has a workout mode which counts calories, and a edit mode that lets you create your own steps. This is the defintive dancing game for the playstation 2. Get this!

Strengths: Very fun, different songs, good aerobic exercise that isn't boring
Weaknesses: Werid interface, nonstop mode is too challenging, needs a pause feature
Summary: This is definately not on par with Dance Dance Revolution extreme. However this is definately a step up from DDRMax. I bought all three just so I would change up my workout, I get bored easily. If you want some of the dance hits from three years ago to dance to i'd recommend this.

Strengths: A great DDR mix, full of songs you'll want to play.
Weaknesses: Not quite as good as DDRMAX.
Summary: Hot on the heels of the original DDRMAX comes the sequel. While its song selection isn't quite as good as that one, it's still really good, and very much worth getting.

Like all PS2 mixes, this contains about 70 songs, mixed between Konami Originals like Tsugaru and Kakumei, and licensed songs like Days Go By by Dirty Vegas, Busy Child by The Crystal Method, and In The Navy by the one and only Captain Jack. There's a wide variety here, so you'll find songs you really like, and very few you don't.

In addition to the standard difficulty levels, this introduces Beginner mode, wherein every song is really easy. It's perfect for, well, beginners. Once you start getting AAs in Beginner, you'll probably abandon it forever in favor of more fun steps, but it's still a good thing to have.

If you're interested in DDR, Beginner mode makes this mix a good place to start. It's not all-in-all better than DDRMAX, though... so you'd better get both.

Strengths: Get exercise from a video game
Weaknesses: Takes some getting used to. Requires dance pad
Summary: This is an interesting game that is quite different than anything else on the PS2. Your whole body gets a workout, not just your fingers.

I bought this for myself and our kids (4,6) to play. At first blush, the kids didn't understand what to do. I played with it a bit on my own and plan to use it to get some exercise. I think it will be pretty fun.

The program itself seems well put together.
