Strengths: Smallest 42" high (maximum) tripod Fold up to 11" for portability Comes in several colors
Weaknesses: Too many sections (8) to extend/retract. Personally I don't need any height between 2'-3', maybe 4 sections of about 10.5" will be quicker and more robust.
Summary: Besides the number of sections for the legs, I have nothing else to complain about. It's cheap for a good quality and versatile tripod. Great to take pictures with my girlfriend on trips esp. at night when handshake will blur the image with longer exposure.

Strengths: Good quality, smaller and less weight than anything comparable
Weaknesses: Not over "serious" photographers because light weight
Summary: Compared this vs the Velbon and Slik Travel tripods, this is a real vacation travel tripod. The others are portable and good for seriour photographers and would probably last longer. But for a vacation tripod. This is the best I've seen on the market for a point and shoot digital, maybe not for an SLR. This one is small, Lightweight, and fairly stable even when fully extended. Only thing is the light weight may result in a little bit of shake in heavy wind. If treated gently, especially the locking mechanisim on the legs, I think this should last a while. Get the black one, it looks the best.

3 Star ReviewI purchased this item because of its size and weig ...
Strengths: small and light weight. free carrying case. it's perfect for travel.
Weaknesses: not stable enough. the legs are not easily fixed.
Summary: 2004-08-02 20:05:01 I purchased this item because of its size and weight. If you want to get a stable and storong tripod, consider another one. For small cameras, it's okay but for large cameras or camcorder it's not stable enough.

Strengths: Lightweight, easy to use
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Really happy with this purchase. This was the lightest tripod I could find, which I wanted to make it easy to take this piece of equipment along whenever. The legs are easy to use, and the tripod was surprisingly stable, even when we recently had to use it during a very windy/gusty day. It held our camcorder with no problems. The carry case is a nice bonus too.
