Strengths: Long life. Lasts at least three times as long as standard battery.
Weaknesses: Advertised as 6000mAh however labeled as 5700mAh. Bulky and heavy.
Summary: The standard BP-915 (1700 mAh) that comes with the Canon GL-2 videocamera lasts less than one hour if one is using the lcd screen. It lasts about 1.5 hours if only using the viewer. This BP-945 has lasted close to 5 hours (viewer only) the most recent time we used it. However the 915 weighs only 3.3 oz. and this 945 weighs three times that (9.7 oz). The weight coupled with its larger size upsets the balance of the videocamera and takes a bit to get used to it.
