Strengths: Great quality sound recording, small and compact,
Weaknesses: Fairly Heavy,
Summary: I managed to buy one for a little under $200. And for the money it is great. I use it with a SONY HDR-FX1. Because I couldnt afford the Z1, this little box works wonders in recording prfesional 2Ch XLR audio.

The fact that it is compatable with all cameras with a 3.5mm audio jack is excelent.

The only thing I would say is that for use on the FX1, it's alittle on the large size, and the box covers the underneath of the Iris Dial making it tricky to use, but aprt from that it's awsome!
