    Product Experience:
    2 Weeks
Strengths: HEAT: I cannot feel hot even after I used it all night long PERFORMANCE: It is fast and convenient
Weaknesses: LCD: Eyes are easily tired because of very fine resolution SIZE: 9-cell battery protrudes from the 14” rectangle
Summary: I used T43-2687D3U for two weeks.

The brief specification is as the followings:

CPU: Pentium M 750 1.86Ghz

HDD: 60GB

MEM: 512MB

LCD: TFT 14.1"

ODD: DVD-Multiburner

The overall rate is very good.

T-series of ThinkPad is known as a masterpiece of notebooks.

After being sold to Lenova, this reputation doesn't fade yet.

If you want a powerful and portable notebook, this model may be the best choice.

Heat: very good. I cannot feel hot although I usually use it all night long. I think its cooling system is very efficient.

Noise: good. Fan often works, but its sound is durable.

LCD: not bad. It is bright and clear, But, if you worry about your eyes, I recommend that you choose other models whose maximum resolution is 1024*768. This model also support 1024*768, but pictures are not sharp in this resolution.

Keyboard: very good. Its keyboard is very comfortable. It has separated function keys such as insert, delete, page up, page down, and so on. Since I hate duplicated key arrangement, I satisfy this keyboard very much.

Battery: very good. I use it for about 4 hours without the power cable.

Fingerprint reader: good. In order to be familiar to this reader, you should try many times, but after being familiar, the reader is very convenient.

Weight: not bad. This is subjective. If you want a very light notebook, I recommend you to avoid choosing this model.

Size: bad. Overall size is good. However, this model has 9-cell battery. You must keep it in mind. 9-cell battery protrudes from the 14” rectangle. I bought a 14" sleeve for it, but this sleeve is not suitable because of the battery.

Strengths: • The best keyboard around, • Thin and light design , tough titanium case • Using finger scanner without password log on. It is easy way to secure protection your account.
Weaknesses: • Price, you will pay lot’s of money to have it. • only two USB 2.0 ports • Fan very often runs. You'll get a little bit of whir sound in the left side palm rest when the fan runs
Summary: Design

One of what I satisfied my notebook is thin and light design. As well, tough titanium case makes it stronger than plastic case.

LCD

My IBM T-43 came with SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution display. It is enough to search the internet and programming. It may be a reasonable display resolution for playing 3D game.

Heat and Fan

I don’t get too hot with even I used for a long time. The bottom may be warm , however, It does not make you uncomfortable. The fan on the T43 is on the left side; it does runs very often. And It makes a whirr sound when it runs. I think fan sound in T43 is worse than previous IBM series.

Speaker

Compare to Toshiba notebook. IBM T-43 performs less. But if you use a headphone or pairs of external speakers, it does not be a problem.
