Strengths: Decoding technology resolves analog sound to multiple channels; EZSet adapts sound to a room's architecture
Weaknesses: Bulky subwoofer and receiver
Summary: We were choosing between a Bose 28/38 lifestyle system and Harmon Kardon CP35. We visited the Bose showroom and love the sound of Bose, but were unable to find a local store that have the HK CP35 set up completely that would allow us to listen prior to making a purchase. We decided to purchase the CP35 online because of the price difference. The HK CP35 does not disappoint us. After spending about 2.5 hours setting up the system, we are so impressed with the sound quality. I would say it sounds as good if not better than Bose. I used it to listen to some stereo CDs and Logic 7 does an excellent job in decoding it to multi-channel output. The only drawback is the size and weight. The system weights 135 lbs (2 times as heavy as Bose) so you will need two people to lift the box. For this reason, I would recommend you ordering it online rather than getting it from the store.
